The iThermonitor is a FDA approved thermometer that your child wears, continuously measuring the axillary temperature and transmitting the readings to the mobile app on your smart phone. Do you find it stressful when your children run a fever, losing sleep and worrying as you stay up to keep checking their temperatures? When you take your kids to their primary care physicians, do you find it difficult to provide pertinent information, such as how the fever developed before and after taking medication, and the frequency of other symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea? The iThermonitor can be perfect for these situations. It captures temperature readings automatically, so you do not have to wake up multiple times per evening. It automatically records body temperature every 4 seconds and sends the readings to an app on your smartphone or other smart devices via Bluetooth. This app alerts you when your child’s temperature reaches specific thresholds. It also automatically turns your child’s temperature into an annotated timeline, providing you a deeper understanding of your child’s illness and a more informed discussion with primary care physicians. The best thermometer to monitor you child at night (few cons, but the best I have found)
I really like this productbut beware, before using it, read the instructions, it said you have to turn it on and leave to room temperature at least 5 minutes, this is not a recommendation, if you don’t do it, it will not give an accurate temperature.I personally recommend to leave it on on room temperature at least 15 minutes.AlsoThe apply patches it comes, are not to good, and the iThermonitor get loos very easy, I use the original patch, and also secure it with Micropore. And it is not accurate, it always shows a lower temperature, but you can deal with it, just set the temperature alarm a little lower, and if the temperature alarm comes on, go and check it with a more precise thermometer.I gave it a High rate (4 starts) beside the cons, because it is at least the best thermometer I have found to monitor mi child at night (my child have had high fever for a long period and before this thermometer, I had to wake up every 2 ours to check her)Also I write to support service, and I got fast and good response,5 starts on support service.

easy to sync with the ipad
I wore it on myself and it works perfectly, easy to sync with the ipad.it would be nice to use as a basal thermometer for FAM but it's too difficult to find the low temp for the night. The company said they were going to add an export data button and that would help. I loved the idea of this, however the app just isn't there yet. I would love to be able to manipulate the axis and see a high and low over a particular period of time. For what they made if for I think it's perfect, but I feel like it could be so much more. I returned it and hope to purchase again once it's developed a bit more.Edited to add they have added a fertility app now but I've never used it as I no longer own the product. Hopefully it addresses all the issues I had with it. It's definitely worth a shot if you are looking for something to find your bbt.

Useful for monitoring sick child
We've owned the first generation and now this current generation of device. The main difference being that the first gen was USB rechargeable and this version is powered by a coin battery. A few pros / cons.- We like having this new device powered by a coin battery. Although there's added expense and the need to keep batteries in stock, it's better than needing the thermometer and then having to wait a few hours to charge.- in real life usage, we can monitor our child for just shy of 24 hours before replacing the battery- We don't use the adhesive pads that come with the device. Instead we use the stretch rolls of self stick bandages (the ones that only stick to itself) and wrap around the upper arm of child. It's much more comfortable for the child and easy to remove without any pain.- the iOS app has some shortcomings. 1 - Can't edit medicine entries one entered. 2 - Can't export the tempreture data history.- the way we use this product is to link via Bluetooth to a iPad which sits in the same room as child. Then we install the iOS app on other iPads and monitor remotely. It takes a few minutes to update the remote iPads but typically fine for our usage. Mind that our children are 9 & 11 so no longer infants.- the iOS app that is connected via Bluetooth continues to run in the background which is great. It allows our children to occasionally play a game and still maintain the monitoring capabilities.Overall, I find the product useful. I'm actually writing this now after owning the product for a few months since my child is currently sick with fever. It's not only good to be able to keep and eye on near realtime tempreture but also helpful to see the trending over time and see how well medication is working to reduce the fever.
