I bought these lift struts to replace the worn out ones on my SnugTop fiberglass tonneau cover. Fit was perfect, exact replacement of OEM. Lifts the cover effortlessly and is still easy to pull down to close. I do suggest ordering the 13mm replacement studs as well and save yourself some time and grief trying to get the old ones off, just change them. Overall, great product from a great supplier. They called me right back when I did have a question (about the 13mm replacement studs) and I wasn’t left waiting hours or days without a reply. Honestly, the quick response was refreshing. Will be looking up another set of struts soon and it will definitely be from these folks!

These struts worked great for me. I have a hard cover (SnugTop) on my 1970 Chevy C10 Longbed (8' bed). The cover originally came off of a 2013 Ford F-150 Longbed (also 8' long) but it happens to find pretty nicely onto the bed of my truck in terms of both length and width. Sadly, the struts that came with my cover gave up the ghost after just 2 months so I tried these. They installed perfectly. It was a very simple process BUT, even with that said, if you have a longbed I recommend you ask a friend to help you with the job. I did mine alone but once I got the first of the dead struts off it became PAINFULLY evident how freakin' heavy the cover is. I was very worried I might lose control of it and maybe even shatter the back window of my beloved weather beaten truck. Thankfully I kept it steady enough and got it all done without causing any injury to me or damage to "Chuck" the truck. But why take the risk. bring a friend over for this job and buy him a beer as an expression of your gratitude.

The only reason I only gave the lift cover supports 4 stars is because I have to stand on my bumper and pull from the center to get the lid down. Even new I could pull my old lift cover down from the side. If your thinking that the cover is too light, it covers a long bed Ranger. (Try to find one of those now.) Anyhow, this is really a small thing, all things considered, and I would buy them again. I left the old lifts on way too long and even a slight wind would push the cover down, hopefully with my head out of the way. My head is safe again. So the inconvenience of standing on the bumper to pull the lid down isn't a huge negative.

Item was a perfect fit and easy to install.. Great description by the seller, and arrived next day.
