Mom needed a new vent hood, but the nicer ones had halogen lights in them. After much deliberation, we decided to buy the nicer hood & use these in it. My mom wanted a light option that was environmentally sound but not hot, so after reading all the other reviews & checking to make sure they would be safe, we tried these out & they work like a charm on my moms Broan Glacier BCSD series stove hood vent.... as long as she doesn't lose the little suction cup to change them we are good! (FYI they won't work on the sealed "lifetime" bulbs (yeah right?!?) on the BCDF series).AND bonus they are also the bulbs needed for her new over the sink lighting... God it was hard to find a light where the bulbs were not hardwired into the fixture... WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?? You have to change the ENTIRE fixture if the bulb burns out? Whose brilliant idea was that? AND that is now the standard... buyer beware. check to see if that nifty fixture can have its bulbs replaced. We had to replace 4 (FOUR!!!) fixtures that were installed 2 years ago in her home because NONE of the bulbs could be changed and she certainly can't get on a ladder & replace a hardwired fixture at 84. A light bulb, yes; A fixture, NO!

I used these bulbs to replace 4 halogen bulbs over my range. The halogen bulbs burned out over a short time. I thought that the LED bulbs would las longer and use less power. With the switch on high the bulbs are bright and look good. On low the bulbs flicker and no one can stand it. So we just use these bulbs on high. The literature says they use less power which sounds right for LED bulbs. I've only had few a few months, so its too early to say if the longevity is good.

We bought these to replace the 55w halogen GU10. They work perfect and work very well dimming them. No more heat! No flickering (although I think that comes mostly from the dimmer switch you have). We bought a dimmer switch on Amazon which works very well. ASIN: B0771BC2YH

I am happy with this purchase. I am only giving it 4 stars because the discription states “dimmable”...they are not dimmable unfortunately. They still work in the highest setting so I am ok with them. They are not “warm” in color and they do not give off a lot of heat either which is great. I was looking for led bulbs so it would not get so hot.

Conversation of my GE Monogram hood from 50 watt halogens to 5 watt LED. Worked flawlessly. Easily twice the light! The factory four position dimmer switch worked w the LED bulbs as well! I went from 300 watts down to 30 watts! A tenfold reduction. I went from warm white to cool white, which matches the rest of the kitchen lights. The photo was taken w the hood lights only. AMAZING!!

This flickers on Low Setting. Unusable for my needs.Used this for Zephyr Range Hood (High & Low brightness setting). Too bright on high setting, more bright white than warm white.

Dimming function is very erratic. Very often have to press the power button repeatedly to get the lighting setting that we want. I’m not happy with this purchase.

I installed a new 4 light ceiling fixture, which came with 3000K Kelvin temperature color LED bulbs. It was too white and sterile for my living area. I found the Simba LED with only 2700K color temp and it made a huge difference in giving a much softer light. The 3000K temp or even 3500K may be great in a kitchen or by outside windows, but the the 2700K is perfect over a fireplace in a cozy room. These bulbs are dimmable down to 10% which provides a lot of flexibility. The 38 degree spot is also a plus for lighting up wall hangings or over a dinner table. TEG
