Bear Snores On

We absolutely love this book. The story is rhythmic and poetic and fun. The added bonus of getting your little one involved in the reading by pressing the snoring sound button at the right time is a joy. My 2 daughters both love this and my eldest often quotes sections of it as its a fun boo to read. There are some children's books that you buy and then wonder how on earth they ever got published but this one is a classic and I can see it being just as popular over time. It really is a good book that children can get involved with.

Beautifully written and inexpensive hard board book with (in our version) an interactive push button gentle snoring sound. The story is about a hibernating bear who stays asleep whilst other smaller animals have a party in the warmth of his cave. He wakes up towards morning and the little animals are scared of him, but bear turns out to be friendly. He wants to join in, but all the animals have fallen asleep as they have been up all night. A sweet and simple bed-time story with a "catch phrase" and lovely illustrations.We have bought 3 copies now and every child we have given the book to, seems to love it. It is a rhyming book, not dumbed down for children which is a refreshing change.It uses varied vocabulary and lots of animals. I think the writing is better than average for children's books.My son, of course, loves the button of the bear snoring.The sturdy book has also withstood a lot of manhandling from my nearly 2 year old.Sweet tale.

We love this book. The rhyme is excellent and the illustrations magnificent.

We've read this to our son almost every night since he's been born. We've memorized the words, but it's still the go-to bed-time book! The story is cute and the narrative cadence is fun yet gentle enough for winding down in the evening. There are a couple moments that almost always get a laugh, and pressing the "snore" button is a nice interactive hook.

This is one of may favourite books to read with my children. They may be getting a bit old for it now but we still love it! From very young they could join in by pressing the button and making bear snore, the language is beautiful. I have bought this second copy for my niece who is two. The battery in our copy has run out now and can't be replaced but I noticed this newer version has a flap on the back to change the battery so that's great.

Excellent quality well packaged posting s little more than I expected but good but never the less.

This book is lovely, initially we borrowed it from the library but loved it so much we decided to buy a copy. The rhythm and timbre are brilliant, you can't help but fall in love with this little book, and the extra snore button is very popular with my children.
