You put the roller on the floor and then put the body part you want rolled out on the roller. Slowly roll your body back and forth. At first it can be uncomfortable depending on the muscle you're rolling out but stick with it because once you get used to doing that, your muscles feel so much better. I really like using it on my hams and quads, hips and butt. Good luck!

Q: I am 5 ft 3 in , weigh 130lbs have hamstring and lower back issues, which size roller would you recommend ?

6 x 18 Full Round. Personally, I would want a foam roller with a larger length and diameter because there are areas of the body that are larger than the smaller foam rollers can cover (Ex. Trapezius, Rhomboids, Latissiumus Dorsi). If you are strictly foam rolling the hamstrings, you could pass with the smaller size. But since these are fairly cheap, don't be afraid to shill out a couple extra dollars! Hope that helps!

It is cell foam-dense foam all of the way through.
