Not the best design.
This product line looks great, and for some people it may well be exactly what they need. I am looking to increase my general arm/forearm/hand strength, so while I would not solely rely on these for all of that, they were to help with the hand grip and forearm strengthening. The problem I have with them is that the pads for each finger are too close together. I have fairly large hands but find these just need me to cram my fingers very close together in order for each finger to be correctly positioned on the corresponding pad. Therefore I could not use this product exactly in it's intended way. Also, I feel that the black rubber pads for the fingers are too hard. It just feels like regular hard plastic when you are using it, and is therefore uncomfortable to use for more than 30 seconds at a time. Another point extended the previous one is that because I am unable to use it for a long period of time without it hurting my fingers, it feels almost identical to the 7lb version I also purchased. You need to have extensive sessions with these exercisers in order for them to be beneficial, but because of the hard pads I sadly cannot.Overall, I would avoid these if you don't have really tough fingers, and have large hands. Or maybe I just have weirdly shaped hands and weak fingers.EDIT: Forearm, not forehead!

Heavy
I've worked up through the models to this one. The Ergonomic Palm pad's better than on the standard gripmaster for whole hand exercises but thumb exercises are not as easy because of the shape of the pad.I thought the rubber bits would be grippier than the knurled plastic on non-pro models -not the case sadly. Also, it's bulkier so for big hands probably better but fits in pocket less well. All in all I wish I got the standard gripmaster heavy.Saying all that I've just ordered the X-Heavy Pro but if was available in standard would've got it

Good Product but uncomfortable
I would have thought that for an extra £5 this version would be more comfortable than the cheaper version, however I find that the reason I stop is the discomfort in my fingers rather than fatigue.Other than that the exercises that can be found on the company's website are interesting and helpful, because of this range of exercises one type of grip is either too difficult for some or too easy. The product itself is of good quality and feels like it will last.Overall I am a little disappointed with the discomfort, but I think I will continue this product and get used to it after a while.

Best buy for climbers!
I have been doing a little rock climbing so have a fairly strong grip from participating over the past 15 months but felt as though I needed something to bring on the finger strength - I found it!The springs are quite tough on the black version but most climbers should be fine with this level of tension. Having recently injured my hand in a climbing gym, I have now decided to purchase the "red medium" pro hands gadget for rehabilitation. I also think the 7lb red version would be better for warming up my fingers before climbing, as the 9lb is just a tad too tough for warm ups. Coupled with regular use of the powerball, and ensuring rest days in between, I find this is an excellent way to improve grip and finger strength.

Great product.
Very versatile and well constructed, good price too. There are details of exercises included with the Exerciser and even more on the website. In fact, I was surprised at how many different exercises one could do with this and how versatile it is in exercising so many different parts of the hand, wrist and arms. I shall soon be buying the next level of exerciser because I have increased my ability and strength so quickly and I would recommend considering buying a higher strength one than you think would be right for you.

Really effective
Was dubious about how effective this was going to be. The grip is moderately ergonomic but could be better. However as far as strengthening my hand goes it is superb, far more effective than the single spring type exerciser, has added power really rapidly without too much strain or effort. After about a month I am now looking to move up to the next level of exerciser, also very effective on the forearms.

Quality product
My only gripe is that it doesn't give as much resistance as I thought it would. Now either I have the grip of King Kong or the springs could do with being stronger.Otherwise, it's well made & comfortable to use, although I tend to get bored before my hand starts to ache ;-)

Effective.
I have used this product almost every day since purchase and have noticed an increase in hand strength. I especially like the versatility of the design allowing you to target individual fingers or weak areas. Good job.
