Powered Pci-e Extension Cable 1x to 16x Riser Extender Card Molex dual capacitor

I have purchased several cable risers from Amazon and they have been fine and quality was great. The ones I ordered last time were no longer available so I found the next best thing which was these cable risers.The build quality is terrible, exposed riser pins not covered by the blue tape. and the riser ribbon cable is not very flexible like the other ones. Another thing to note is that these have 2 smaller capacitors unlike the other ones I purchased have 1 larger capacitor.I unpackaged these and noticed the quality was much lower. I proceeded against my own instinct and installed them. I powered on the RIG and it run fine for about an hour. Next then you know "Electrical Burn Smell" I ran over and the capacitors had blown on one of the 3 cables I purchased and burned the ribbon cable. I immediately unplugged the power to the unit and removed the cables and back to Amazon/ZoomHash they went. Do your research and look at reviews before purchasing any of these cables as they are not all built EQUALLY. Also the price is not a guide. I paid over $24 for these at the time and the ones I had purchased a week earlier were only $9 and 100% better quality.

Cables were good quality, the added power connector also good quality. VERY Poor soldering skills, also there were solder pads on the PCB where the wires should have been soldered, but instead wires were soldered to the pins on the connector I bought 2 of these and one had come loose in shipping and only the dab of hot melt glue was holding it on. first time the wires were flexed the glue let loose and the wire fell off with the glue stuck to it. I removed the wires and re soldered them to the PCB pads

I got these for a 5 gpu mining rig. The rig has been happily hashing away since.I would recommend these to a friend.I took a risk buying these and it paid off. Moon here we come!

Poor quality. Cold solder joints that fell apart. Fixed it myself. Works as expected.
