A dense and delightful introduction to the purpose and methods of Celtic geometry and design
This is a small book that packs a huge punch. Each pair of pages provides a vast amount of information and entry points into a major aspect of Celtic Geometry. Each image contains detailed steps of how it was constructed by compass and straightedge so that the interested reader can reconstruct the image geometrically for him- or herself. And even the layout of each design page gives insight into how Celtic geometers and artists understood their design process. I go back to this little book over and over as a reference source. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the specifics of Celtic design!

Good display book
I love books, and this one had a nice, solid feel to it. However, this book wasn't quite what I expected it. I was expecting more up close images of Celtic art that I might learn from and practice reproducing. Instead, the book focused more on the history and artifacts, which interested me, but wasn't exactly what I had bought it for. However it will make a nice display book.

Excellent book on Celtic art.
This is an excellent and comprehensive book on Celtic art. The format used in all the books published in the series, from Wooden Books, have the same somewhat limiting format, and all with just 64 pages. But Adam Tetlow fits a LOT into that space limitation, including some important discussion of composition of the individual elements (spirals, knots, key patterns, etc) to produce an integrated design. Tetlow's diagrams and drawings for the book are first rate.

Thinner than I expected
This is one of a whole collection of books on patterns. It is true to its title. That said, it is a very thin book. At best it's OK.

Beautiful cover but small print and not that user friendly
The cover and illustrations are beautiful but the directions for creating them are very sketchy and minimal. The book is really small as is the print. Definitely not for the first time Celtic Patterner.

Beautiful Book!
An incredible little read on Celtic patterns and art!The book did arrive with a crinkled cover which was disappointing, but otherwise it arrived on time and the content was well-worth any hiccups.

Interesting
If you just want to learn to draw Celtic patterns, you might do better with YouTube. This is quite small and detailed so requires care - but also contains a lot of useful info and is a lovely book. Glad I got it for our Celtic studies project resources.
