Great case with one MAJOR design flaw...
I have used several of these book-style phone cases now and this one is really nice! One of the highest qualities I've seen and had. I really like the soft leather cover (as opposed to the shiny feaux look so many have. So far the print and binding pins are maintaining like new and I am extremely pleased with this case!Follow-up review...It has now been over a year and two of these cases since I posted my firsts review. I still love the case in general. All of the features I named in my first review still hold true. I also love that I can carry an id as well as at least 3 cards and still have a pocket for cash and extra cards. The leather, stitching, and binding still looks great, albeit worn, but the daily wearing has created a pleasantly vintage look. Overall, I love this case...EXCEPT... As seen in the pictures, I purchased and attached a Spigen Tough Armor case into my book-style phone case (using gorilla glue) in place of the original flimsy, cheap, useless plastic phone holder insert. I now have my ideal phone cover/case/wallet in which I carry my phone, id, at minimum 3 credit cards, and still have a pocket for cash and business cards, etc... I just wish someone would manufacture these from the get-go!My Experience Detailed... let me just start by saying that in the 20+ years I have had cell phones, I have never broken one. Not one! I am very careful and cognizant of their replacement value. Therefore, when I initially purchased my first book style case from this maker, I emailed them and voiced my concern regarding the very thin, brittle, flimsy plastic insert glued to the inside of the case for the phone to snap into. As I was afraid, the plastic cracks and breaks off in pieces, typically at the corners first from being dropped or dinged with normal use. The problem is, this makes the expensive iPhone very vulnerable to sliding out of the case as well as vulnerable to impact since the plastic is very low profile and does not offer any type of protection for the phone. The only protection is the leather, which will do nothing if the cover is open. In fact, with the cover open, the iPhone is extremely vulnerable. With the purchase of my second of these cases (because of another crappy, broken, plastic phone insert, I again emailed the maker with my concerns and frustration explaining that it was for this very reason, I previously only bought the leather book cases that had leather pouch-like phone holding straps. Sadly, the newer iPhone 6 (and up) book-style cases are only made with the poor design of the clip in plastic shell, so I had no choice but to give it a chance if I wanted to continue using that style of phone cover. As was my fear, I went through multiple cases because the plastic is crap and tends to crack and break. However, the worst was when I dropped my phone and the front cover of the leather case flipped open. Because the plastic, snap-in phone shell is so thin, brittle, and cheap and the design does not provide any type of lip or protection for the phone screen, although it was a short drop, my screen shattered and was irreparable.Long story short, I peeled the remaining pieces of the crappy plastic insert out of my current leather case and purchased a Spigen Tough Armour cover to replace it. I am very pleased with the quality of this Spigen case. My phone inserted easily and securely with no threat that it will pop out. The case also provides a lip around the screen so if it does drop and the leather opens, the screen will not directly hit the ground and shatter. In fact, my daughters and I tested it by dropping the phone in the Spigen case several times both before and after I secured it into my leather book case. To my relief and pleasure, my iPhone is completely secure and I am confident in carrying it with me everywhere.

$40 for this? More like $7.
Unfortunately people are posting reviews of this thing and never bothering to update them when it breaks. Avoid this at all costs.Purchased in December 2015. About 2 months ago the elastic strap that holds the case closed started to fray. Yesterday the plastic casing that holds the actual phone in place cracked and will no longer secure the phone.Do yourself a favor: search for "iPhone book cases", which is probably how you found this one initially, and buy 4 of the other $10 cases for the price of one of these. Very unhappy.

When surfing the web it works great. However
I was looking for something that I could hold my ID and just a few necessary cards with my phone for those times I didn't want to carry a purse. This works well for that. The elastic strap is helpful to keep it closed when I do carry it in a purse. When surfing the web it works great. However, to use it as a phone I have to fold the cover all the way back behind the phone in order to hold it, since it is awkward to hold it any other way. I was afraid it might not be designed for that and doing that would crack the leather. Time will have to tell. It is so cute though.

Short warranty, product broke soon after expired.
Tried this one because $20 cheaper than Bookbook. Product is ok, but broke a little over a month outside the 90 day warranty. Bookbook, very similar product, has a 1 year warranty; I had one before & it lasted well over a year (replaced it b/c got a new phone, different size). Another company has an Italian leather case, also similar, which I might try next since this one broke so soon.I couldn't find the warranty info anywhere in Amazon & could not locate the manufacturer's website (if they have one), so I had to write to the company to find out the warranty period. Disappointed it broke so soon.

Good quality and a conversation starter
Great phone case. The phone fits a little snug, so it makes it a little difficult to take it out of the case when needed. It's convenient if only carrying a few cards, and no cash. I've received many compliments, especially from other avid book readers. However, it becomes tiring trying to hold the phone when talking on it. It's not very ergonomic in that aspect. But, perfect if all you do it text. Otherwise, a solid product. And the leather has stayed in tact, and worn nicely over past few months.

Great quality, REAL LEATHER, best wallet case I've owned so far!
I purchase two of this Chapter XVI case, one for my iphone 6, another for my husband's iphone 6 plus. I'm pleased to say, it's as good as it seems like it would be. The case is made of real leather, I love the luxurious vintage feel on the case. My phone fits perfectly in the case, The slot that holds the phone is very durable, it provides great protection to my phone. There are plenty of room for cards and cash. I got compliments on the case almost everywhere I go. I think this is a perfect wallet case, my husband and I absolutely love them so far.

Has no magnetic latch.
This is a pretty case. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have a magnetic latch. I don't like the cases that have the dangly latch hanging off the side. I was hoping that this one would have the hidden latch that some do, but it doesn't. My phone was jerked out of my hand when the earbud cord got hung on a drawer pull. It landed on the ceramic tile face down with the case wide open. Needless to say, my screen shattered. $118. later, I have a new screen and am searching for a new case.

Poor photo ops
The case looks great, but for the price, I expected a better overall experience. When I placed the phone in the case the camera lens is only 2/3 visible, so every photo has a black 1/2 moon spot in the lower right hand corner. The phone fits securely in the case, so there is no room for adjustments to be made.
