Bad batch? Bags are splitting.
I have ordered these bags five times, I really liked them. Occasionally one would split open, but I was OK with that because it wasn’t very often and I like to use compostable.Every bag in this batch has split!I have to use two or three bags in order to pick up a pile and not get poop on my hands. It’s very disappointing and difficult to deal with if I’m not standing right next to a garbage can. Sadly, I had to give a poor rating and don’t think I will order these bags again. They are expensive and I used to think they were worth it, but if they’re gonna spit on me, it’s a waste of money.

Quality as advertised
I like these bags. They are strong and fit easily in the dispenser. The first bag does not tear when removing the sticker and they separate very easily, not like other bags. I use them when I am walking my dogs or cleaning my yard after my dogs have been outside. I am very happy with the quality and they are truly biodegradable. They have plenty of room making them easy to tie, and they keep the smells inside. I love the fact that they are also home compost certified since I am looking to get a back-yard compost soon. I will definitely buy them again. The only complaint I have is that they are not available on Amazon's subscribe and save, but I will still give them 5 stars.

Love them!
I love these bags! I've tried several and either they were too pricey, too hard to open or not biodegradable (and some biodegradable bags still have plastic bits - yuck!). I have none of those problems with these bags! I have them on subscribe and save delivery so they are comparable to other bags. Never had a problem with leakage. Can't recommend them enough.

Easy open
Love how easy these are to open. I have arthritis in my hands and it can be difficult to open plastic bags. These are terrific to use / when you have a doggy mess to pick up you want to do it as quickly as possible.

biodegradable poop bags a "Best Buy"
This is my second purchase of these bags. Not too much to say about a bag that's only purpose is to hold dog poop, but at least I can feel good about them being more biodegradable than a used plastic grocery bag! They are thicker and more than sufficient in size to do the job. I have had absolutely no problems with them and my dog is 50 lbs. Thanks!!

No More Black Plastic Bags!
I just like that this is a much more earth friendly version of the bags I had been using. I didn't really want to get rid of my dog (kidding! I would never do that), but I wanted a product that doesn't hurt our planet. These bags fit the bill.

Sturdy and functional as described.
I was skeptical because of the reviews but they work just as good as any other. They feel different so I understand the immediate concern but they work just fine and can hold a hefty pile. It’s a good alternative to plastic bags.

They rip when you unfold them.
Like to touch poop with your bare hands? This is the perfect product for you. The seams are weak and constantly rip.

Expensive but biodegradable
So far I have nothing negative to say about the bags themselves, they're big enough to handle a 65 pound pups droppings without getting anything nasty on the hands. I like the idea of biodegradable products and we've purchased similar bags previously but found them to not be as strong as these.► As advertised these fit into the standard dispensers we have from Amazon Basics and other brands. While no thicker than most that we've used, the material is strong enough to allow for a little scraping even on hard snow. That said, like all other bags that come off a roll they can be a bugger to get open. I've found that holding the end that's supposed to open in the pocket area between the thumb and forefinger so that it just sticks up above the skin and then a giving it a good blast of air with my lips just touching the bag. This will expand it enough to now easily get it open 99% of the time. One thing that I would like to see is some sort of a line across the bag right next to where it comes off the next bag. This allows for pulling it out just far enough to know when to rip it off.One thing that I really appreciate with these bags is that there hasn't been any kind of scent added to them. Most brands use some kind of scent as if the bags will sit somewhere in the house where we want to smell them. The only real down side with these bags is the high cost.

Expensive, gathered bottom, but work well for disposal of cat litter.
The main selling point of these bags is that they are biodegradable. In fact, they can be home composted as well. It's important to know, though, that when home composting it's recommended that you don't use the compost on food plants if you put poop in there from dogs or cats. This is because they can carry disease in their poop and that can be transferred to your plants. I'm not an expert, just someone who read this, so do your own research if you go down that path.Onto the bags. I use poop bags for poop (obviously), but unlike dog owners I use them to keep my litter tray in top tip condition. With three cats, the recommendation is to have an insane number of litter trays (four in fact), but I find one is just fine. You just need to clean it and make sure it's topped up and wash the whole tray once a week. So I used these poop bags as I do all poop bags, for scooping the waste and dirty litter into every single time a cat goes! Then they get discarded at that time.Compared to my usual bags I found these were a little smaller. One thing that really bothered me was that the bottom of the bag was gathered up and sealed that way. I found this...really weird. My usual bags have regular corners on the bottom. Maybe this is supposed to work better for dog poop, I have no idea. While I did find it strange, it worked just as well as my normal bags. That being said, they are expensive, especially for cat litter bags, like I use them. I don't have any complaints other than that and found they worked well! Being biodegradable might seem pointless, but most things we use end up in a landfill, so I do like that aspect.

Very easy open; fits in standard dispenser
Generally, I find that biodegradable bags seem to open easier than traditional bags, and these are no exception. I also find that the ‘cut’ marks are more easily identified than most other brands, and they are easy to separate from each other.I find the lack of scent refreshing since I don’t like the smell of most scented bags. These bags are on the larger side of the spectrum and would be suitable for use with big dogs. One interesting thing is that the bottom of the bags don’t open flat as most poo bags do; instead they are bunched together to make more of a cylindrical base. I’m not sure that this makes any practical difference, but suppose it accommodates larger ‘pieces’ easier. The rolls fit conveniently into our dispenser (shown in photos but NOT included). The thickness of each bag is similar to essentially all other bags that we’ve used before.Pricing is outrageous, currently over 18cents/bag. There are significantly cheaper biodegradable bags on Amazon for under 7cents/bag. Also keep in mind that using biodegradable bags isn’t necessarily better for the environment if they are placed in the trash (and many municipalities prohibit excrement from being put in “green bins”).Overall, I really like the bags but wouldn’t buy them due to the price (pricing is the only reason that I removed a star).

Easiest to open roll-based bags I've ever used
Plastic is becoming a big problem for our environment and for wildlife too. For many years I have been looking for and adopting lifestyle changes that can reduce the negative impact my existence has on nature. Biodegradable bags like these are one small but meaningful addition to this approach. These bags are above average capacity and length, so they should cater to dogs of any size. They are more than large enough for my medium sized dog and sometimes when on walks I won't tie the bag, so that I can collect a second deposit with the same bag.Of all the bags on a roll that I have used, from dollar store bags to pet store bags to bags from Amazon, these are by far the easiest to open. Once I tear a bag off the roll, the top just falls open. I don't even have to lick my finger and thumb to open it. It's already open. So, good job on designing a manufacturing process that completely solves that issue. The price per bag is something that matters to me and these bags work out to cost over 18 cents each. So if my dog poops 3 times each day, that's a cost of $200 per year. I understand that biodegradable bags cost more to manufacture, but I am hoping that this company can perhaps scale up and reduce that cost so that these bags become more attractive to more people and they will make the switch from non-biodegradable bags.
