Sunblaster SL0900174 904303 Strip Light, 48", Silver

The light and ballast is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the ballast that was bad nor the light, it was the jumper cable! My unit takes 6 ballasts so it won’t go to waste.

The lights look good and work well. I have them mounted on pulleys. Good combination.My only issue is that hanging them requires forcing mounting clips onto them. They are extremely tight and difficult to mount.Once that is done, the rest is quite good.I had a problem with my original shipment. The contacts connecting the fluorescent tubes to the ballast were loose. The lights did not stay on properly. The tubes were actually prone to falling out on my plants.BUT: I arranged a replacement. The replacement went very smoothly and the replacements work properly. I would recommend them and buy them again.

I purchased these lights for my microgreens growing rack. I installed two lights for each shelf of the 18'x48' wire rack. I used zip ties and the included clips to hand the lights. I assumed because these were more expensive that they would be a little more...just more. These did not come with a reflector, which is around another 20 bucks each. I only needed the fixture so I can only assume that the bulbs must be phenomenal. The ends of the bulbs when I fired them up was not great, about 2-3 inches on each end only output about half as much lighting as the rest of the bulb. Every bulb I've ever used had this problem to a varying degree, but these were definitely noticeable to the naked eye. I purchased two and both bulbs had the same issue. These are not watertight in any sense of the word, for a greenhouse rated item I was rather surprised, I do not think they would last long in high humidity. You need to add another two inches to each end for clearance if that is an issue, and I didn't see any 90 degree jumpers from the manufacturer. I could nitpick the hell out of them, but at the end of the day, they work and they are relatively light weight. I really wouldn't recommend them due to the fact that there are a lot of very similar designs with perhaps additional features for a better value.

Bought this for my basement over wintering space. Seems to be working fine after some issues with it lighting and stay lighted.The cord connection with the bulb seemed sensitive.I had ordered two of these and one came perfect in its product packaging, the second unit had no bulb or accessories. Sent it back for a replacement. Replacement unit damaged during shipping and they gave up and refunded my purchase price.New unit seems like sunlight and hopefully will keep my geraniums over this coming winter in great shape.

So I bout this for seedlings. It arrived with a bad bulb (could have been from shipping). I replaced the bulb with one from the local hardware, put it in to the fixture. The bulb flashed several times before turning on, but only after I applied pressure to both ends to kind of push everything together. The fixture metal seems to be just thicker than a metal from a soda can and the plastic connectors are clipped in, but feel like they could pop out any second. Plan on keeping because I plugged it in and it turned on. Great for a budget purchase, but you're rolling the dice.

This T5 4' fixture (ballast) plus included 4' bulb is very impressive and bright! Exactly what is described and next to order the reflector that accompanies this exact fixture to get even more lumens pinpointed at the plants!

From the picture shown , it appears that this item it appears it is in a cover ( hood of some kind)that would fit on my 48" aquarium.Now I must make some sought of contraption to mount it to the nand buy an additional reflecture to focus the light into the fishtank and not all over the room !
