Meilan M1 GPS Cycling/Bike Computer Navigation Speedometer, Heart Rate and Power Compatible - Downloadable Data iOS,Android, Strava and Garmin Connect formats

This is a descent GPS unit. I'm having trouble uploading my data to my PC. It only goes into the charging mode upon USB connection. I tried everything: factory reset, trying on different computers, and various other trouble shoots. According to the manual, I had to connect the USB connection while the GPS unit is turned off. I was not able to find any trouble shooting information on the Internet. If you don't mind using the device as a stand alone unit, it's a nice GPS unit._______________________________________________________________________________________________________I found myself using the GPS unit more often as I was really getting into cycling. I've looked everywhere on the internet to find a solution to my problem. I've even called a few vendors that carried the item to seek any answers. In the end, I was nobody was able to help me. I was hoping for a firmware update might take care of my situation. Unfortunately, the Meilan website does not mention anything about a firmware upgrade any devices they make. Which leads me to think that there has not any software update since the introduction of the device. If could mean that the company does not believe in making any future improvement on their products. I do hope that the company will address this issue in the near future.

I LOVE this computer. It was really easy to setup. As you turn it on it prompts you enter all the settings and then it’s ready to go. Once it connects to the satellites it updates all the information and you are ready to go.The data on the screen can be changed to different views which makes the information really easy to see. At the end of the ride when you push the ‘play/pause button twice it’s ‘stores’ your ride data with a recap on the screen which is cool and then that file can be downloaded and added to your online portal - I use garmin connectAll the mounting brackets and hardware were included.

Does everything it’s supposed to. It sometimes briefly loses connection to the satellite.

This is SO user unfriendly. It does not sync with my computer, it will not adjust to my time zone, time, etc. The controls are confusing as are the written instructions. To download the FREE manual on my computer I have to enter credit card information- NO! There is no live feedback, chat or support.
