Ought to be required reading /learning for all ladies, younger and older.
Basic stitches for sewing. I was blessed to have two grandmothers that sewed clothing. Most little girls now don't. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful guide
I always reference this book to to anyone wanting to learn hand sewing. We do quite a bitof hand work in the costume shop where I work and I find this easy to understand, even forthe beginner. The stitches in this book can add that touch of authenticity that you mightwant if you are doing reproduction sewing.
