Good bar ends that feel like they will stay put and last. Definitely, they are a step up from the flimsy ends that come with your bar wrap which often seem to work their way off during a ride. Similar in weight to those, these can be cranked down with an allen wrench to keep them snug. I'm not sure they would survive a fall to the pavement being made of plastic, but if you fall hard enough to break them, you probably have bigger problems than worrying about your bar ends.Initial impressions: I was a little surprised that they were plastic and seemed more fragile than I imagined. But then again, milled anodized aluminum would probably be way too heavy for a triathlon bike so I am not sure I had realistic expectations The photos made them look really beefy and rugged. As of 6/18/15 there was no mention on the listing of what they were made of so I hope this helps you make your decision.Fully recommended: light weight, stays secure.Minus one star for apparent fragility.

handlebar end plugs work well went in easy minor hex twisting to get them to fit snug. i did not get any handlebar tape.

I bought a used bike and it did not have any handlebar plugs. I was told that this is very dangerous not to have the plugs and that if I was to enter a race I would not be allowed to compete without the plugs. These seemed to be very small to start with but I kept turning the screw and it tightened up just fine.

I put on bicycle events for a living and whenever we transport bikes (including mine!) we always find bar plugs that have fallen out. Decided to fix this once and for all on my own bike. These are simple to install and stay put. Even for a weight weenie like me, worth the extra gram or two to solve this problem. They work fine on my road bike.

These are great. I have clip on aerobars that came with a large bridge piece that I removed - which left the ends open. In triathlon, you can't have open ends on any bars, so I had tried to plug the holes with little generic plugs, which turned out to be too small. These plugs are great because of the adjustability. I installed them in under a minute - you just tighten them down until they fit firmly. They look a lot nicer than plastic plugs too - they give a nice finished look to the bar ends.

Sooo much better than the standard garbage caps that come with even the best bar tape!

These looked to be metal end plugs, but they are plastic. Otherwise they look good and installed easily. Time will tell to see if they will hold up
