Kissing Cousins?: Christians and Muslims Face to Face Paperback – April 11, 2006

This volume was recommended to be by a scholar of Islam who is a follower of Isa (Jesus). This work taught me many things about Islam but two stand out. I came away asking if the apologists who are trying to "do theology" with Muslims about the Trinity and other theological issues are asking the wrong questions. As I learned about the founder of Islam and the book he produced, I came away asking if we should not be putting Islam's book through the same textual critical tests that the New Testament has endured these last couple of hundred years. But the main take away for me (along with a couple of days among Muslims in Bosnia) was that Musk really brought it down to loving Muslim because they are people that God loves. Like my scholarly friend, if you want to learn about Islam, and more, about Muslims, this is your book.

Bill Musk looks far beyond typical comparisons between Christians and Muslims. He speaks of history in depth and fairly points out aspects of agreement (e.g., monotheism), paving the way for people of different persuasions to have profitable conversations with each other.Musk is a scholar who uses his knowledge to help Christians and Muslims develop honest relationships and learn from each other.
