The Book on Negotiating Real Estate: Expert Strategies for Getting the Best Deals When Buying & Selling Investment Property

There is good information to be had in this book. My problem is how it builds up to what to do/how to do it and then tells you go watch his videos for the rest of the information. This is in almost every chapter. He even states that these videos are only the price of an hour with an attorney. Let's be honest, that could be $200-1000 for a consult. I'm not going to waste my time finding out the unlisted price for the rest of the info. I wish there had been some reviews stating how this was a pitch for a larger money grab. Do some more research and find a book that will actually help you and not just leave you with more questions than when you started.

This book is excellent. Experienced professionals dishing out their knowledge in a very clear and informative way with tips and real life examples that help the reader understand not only how to negotiate (not just real estate), but how the real estate investing world works. The book is not dedicated to the investments per se, but does a fairly deep dive while exploring all of the facets that go into a negotiation. I read the book in two days (291 pages) as it had a great flow and was entertaining...while being highly informative.The only negative? There are a lot of typos (grammatical errors), sometimes doubled words or couples of words, but these are real estate investment experts, not seasoned authors.

This book is worth so many times the money and minutes you will spend on it. I feel a little stupid for not having read it before the half dozen real estates deals I’ve completed so far. My ignorance has no doubt cost me thousands, and what I have learned will no doubt save me thousands in due time.On the topic of real estate investing, the only other book I have found that had this much solid gold is Brian Murray’s Crushing It. Don’t miss that one either.To the authors: thank you for writing this book.

I am introvert and don't know how to negotiate. I bought this book to learn it. After completing the book, I just feel every word in this book is valuable. It's that good for someone who don't know how to negotiate.

Wanted so sell some property, so put in the hands of a realtor whom I caught lying to me no less than 3 times that I know of, got so angry, then found out they were most likely getting kick backs from the title company they were crazy about. Needed to acquire information to protect myself from these kind of sharks, so bought this book. It is an "ok" book, but for someone fresh out of a bad seller/realtor situation didn't hit the mark, still need to know how to find a realtor whom is truly honest, maybe FL doesn't have any, don't know. Still on the hunt for info on how to protect myself and sell the property without getting hosed.

Awesome educational read! My favorite part was the breaking down of specific price points and all the factors to be considered on both sides of the negotiation. Each party of the negotiation has their own goals and while price is important, it's not the only component. There's many other terms to consider, such as closing date, closing costs, repairs, personal property, seller financing, etc. I now understand that you must think of each negotiation as a multi-dimensional experience. Thank you!

I've read several books by J Scott and Mark, and every time I've been impressed by not only their ability to drive home core concepts but also offer down-to-earth, real-world advice on things that we in RE think about night and day.Unlike some other books that will just pump you up then leave you hanging, this book gets straight to the core. If you want insights and to learn how professionals think, I recommend this book.

If you are buying or selling real estates or your house. Reading this book may keep a few more $$ in your pocket.Although at the beginning it seems to go slow somewhat (for me), but after reading it all you will definitely be in a better place of understanding how to deal with some situations and keep more money in your pocket.

Really good book. Goes into a Lot of detail and while it seems simplistic at times, I realized that was a good thing because it breaks down everything clearly.

This book went on and on until I had to stop the suffering. A lot of common sense information presented like it was special knowledge.
