OXO Good Grips Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Pro 5Qt Covered Dutch Oven

Q: Has anyone who has used the pan for a long time had any warping/doming issues with the bottom of the 12" skillet?

I've owned my skillet for about a year now! There is no warping with the tri-ply bottom. I know if cast iron pans are put on a super hot cooking surface damage can occur if the pan has not been gently heated. Sometimes they warp in the middle and become what is known as a (spinner). I gently preheat all on my skillets reguardless of material type. The skillet bottom has never warped. The OXO 12 inch skillet was certainly worth the purchase price.

Q: In the Amazon picture it appears to be more the shape of a saucier rather than a saucepan. Is it really more like a saucier?

It is 3 & 1/2" high and 10" across. The large "saucepan" I usually use is 4 & 1/2" high and 9 " across. Hope that helps you visualise it easier!

Q: Made of stainless steel 316 or 430?

The manufacturer describes it as an aluminum core that is somehow laminated or coated on all surfaces with stainless steel.

Q: What is the inside diameter at the top? (of the 8inch pan) and are there tiny ridges on the bottom like in some of the aluminum pans I have seen?

I don't know about the diameter, as I have the larger pan (companion piece). There are no ridges on the bottom.
