I had just done a partial water change while siphoning my sand substrate and moved a few plants around, so my water had gone quite cloudy. I decided to give this a try. Boy do I wish I hadn’t. It made the water so cloudy that I could no longer see the plants at the back and covered the plant leaves, bog wood and sand with white sludge. I waited for over 30 hours for things to clear up but my tank was still a terrible mess. I have a surface skimmer and a powerful canister filter but these two together were no match for this horrible stuff.I had to do a ~75% water change and siphon up half of my sand substrate to try and get rid of the horrible white sludge at the bottom of my tank. I didn’t quite manage to get it all. I then added new sand back. Not only did I waist money on this product but it cost me so much more in wasted substrate, tap water conditioner, liquid fertiliser and the liquid filter bacteria I was dosing. After all of that, I still had cloudy water but that was most likely just due to adding so much new sand (yes I rinsed it first but it is always a little hazy).In general I really like NT Lab’s products but this is an epic fail. I have no idea what to do with the rest of this big bottle of unusable stuff.
