CalineCP-72 Wah/Volume Effect Pedal for Guitar & Bass

Recommended for Church
When “zero gain stage” is the goal, this pedal shines. In my church we were using a DI-Box for bass. It is known that a DI-BOX lacks of character, presence, punch, etc. You will not get the same sound that comes from an amp. For the price I decided to give it a try... now we sound better than ever! Buy this if you want to replace your on stage amp. I will buy another one soon for my home studio.

Fine as a DI Box, tone shaping leaves something to be desired
If you need to get an XLR out, it does a pretty good job. The actual tone shaping is a bit lackluster. The drive knob is a huge bummer, I'd even say unusable. You'll definitely want a proper distortion or fuzz pedal if that's what you're looking for. The Harmonics or Presence knob is similarly disappointing. My advice: Turn every knob to 12 o'clock and then turn the Drive and Harmonics knobs off completely. Throw an EQ or a distortion pedal in front of it if you want to control the sound more. Plug into your interface or mixer board and you're good to go.

It works.
I use the Caline Wine Cellar DI and bass pedal to connect my bass guitar to the PA system/recorder/DAW. It modulates the bass sound in several ways and to my ears, provides a warm and rounded sounding bass which augments my short scale bass with semi flat strings real well. The volume is low in some instances, depending on the board it's plugged into. Would recommend as a value priced DI box for bass.

Battery extension cool!
I love this pedal! Gives me any kind of reverb, delay, slap back. I love ...Love the battery extension cable so I don't have to purchase a 9v adapter. Good design, nicely packaged and solid. They send little rubber feet to stick on. I love it.

Great sound! Tone shaping like a basic bass amp. Lowest grade of jacks/switch I've ever seen.
Really great sound for an inexpensive box. If there is a 40 dollar device that makes a bass sound better than this, buy it and spread the word. The downside is that the in/out jacks and the switch are the flimsiest I've ever seen. I swear each time I press the switch will be it's last. That said, I would (will) simply bypass the switch because this isn't really useful as a stomp box. Turn it on, dial in your sound and put it out of the way. It's not an amp sim or fuzz box, but it can do some tone shaping. Makes your bass sound good. Works well for guitar too.

Great delay, longest ms time for price
Tough shell, good feeling knobs. Good sounding delay with a stylish decal. Works great to add some dimension to the sound. Had the longest ms time (1000ms) for the price range

nice pedal
Fattens up my bass tone, not over the top , like a warm merlot, i think thats where the name came from. nice smooth drive gets "muff-like" at about 3oclock, nice addition to my board

Cool looking. good buy for the price.
It works well. It gets into a feed back loop very easily but you just got to get use to it.
