Good solid lock. worked well for me with an older filing cabinet that never had a lock before. I knocked out the plastic piece in the hole, installed it and it is still rolling months later. solid "clink" when it locks. good stuff.

Disappointed.
Is ok. Doesn't contain the adapter plate for oval holes which had to be purchased seperately and the bar was very flimsy and bent out of shape in order to fully unlock to get the key out. The file drawers open but key stayed in lock. Possibly because piece was cut incorrectly. Would purchase direct from manufacturer next time.

wrong size for my file cabinet
This lock is not big enough for my file cabinet punch out hole. The knock out on my cabinet is 3/4 x 1 inch. This lock is 5/8 x 3/4. It is difficult to find information on file cabinet locks. The lock is a good lock. Hope this helps someone else.

After a small tweak, works like a charm
Although this was not a perfect fit for my particular file cabinet, it was easy to bend exactly how I needed. After a small tweak it worked perfectly. Highly recommend
