Read the instructions concerning tap connector over-tightening issue
Its a good product, lean lines, and the flow is not super powerful, its more controlled than the tap it replaced. Very pleased with it indeed. One point that would be buyers need to know relates to other reviews in here. Some are complaining about the tap leaking. I am guessing that when they fitted the flexi connecting hoses to the bottom of the tap, they didn't read the instructions. It screams out to you in bold letters - do not overtighten, use hand pressure only. I imagine the people who got leaks down the road had used an adjustable spanner or mole grips 'just to be sure' and in so doing damaged the cylinders inside the tap. Ours has been going fine for months and I just tightened up using my hand, so be careful, I am guessing that any over pressure on the hose connection when attaching will cause some damage which results in leaks. Perhaps they should put a sticker in the bag with the connectors warning the buyer to be very very careful. I found the warning in the instruction booklet that came in the box with the tap. That potential problem to one side, these are great taps, very very happy, and they match the other taps in the bathroom, which the original basin taps did not do.

Not a DIY genius, but this was easy
I am not the best at DIY, but when my bathroom tap started becoming stiff, I rolled up my sleeves, jumped onto you tube and got up to speed with how to change a tap.I bought this as the replacement and I was surprised how easy it was to install. One bolt 2 pipes, job done! The tap is perfect, makes a loss less noise than the old one and is so shiny! Now to stop my children getting dirty finger prints on it....

Very good product.
We only received the tap yesterday and are waiting for a plumber to come and fix it, However it looks very nice and we might need another one because we have another tap that has worn out. So far we are happy with it, but can't give you any more information yet. Watch this space.

UPDATE 2022: Had a set of these since 2017 and it was 2021 when the hot's cartridge (presumably) caused a worsening leak that got to the point where it was on when it was off! Well, there are similar replacements at Wickes and Screwfix for just over half the price (with vastly lower warranties), but those don't have replaceable aerators (see below for ones that fit well). So I would amend my previous review and say "Yes, this is a nice looking tap and they seem to be well made, but I got them for <£40 in 2017 and they've never been that cost effective since and they're currently more than double that at Homebase. They absolutely don't seem to last and they really should, 5 years 'warranty' is woefully inadequete if Bristan even honour it (we avoided the hassle of that route since it was 4 years down the line). Is it so hard to design a tap to last 15-20 years minimum?I would suggest selecting another model because if you find yourself needing taps that match these, your alternative options aren't great, it's either these or compromising and getting these will thus 'lock you in' to replacing them like for like, as I fear we might have to as well at some point.Original review:The build quality of these taps is excellent. I particularly like how they've been hollowed out inside. They have a lovely chrome shine to them and come up nicely with some polish when cleaning the bathroom (bad idea to get cif or anything more abrasive than soap on them if you care about keeping the chrome intact for a long time.)A daily wipe down with a damp cloth and some liquid soap is more than enough. The aerator ends are OK but they let a lot of water flow through (the flow is heavy), so we swapped them out for these which I can attest do fit despite not being exactly 20mm (more like 19mm; it's a bit of a minefield).Tap Aerator 20mm male, 4ltr per minute, water, energy saving reduce bills chrome and the result is a nice narrower and foamy flow that drastically reduces water consumption.I would have given 5 stars but for the life of me, I can't seem to get either handle to attach perfectly parallel to their faucet ends :( Very irritating.EDIT: After 4 years, the hot tap now leaks incessantly. I'll try tightening the ceramic cartridge at some point soon, but would now advise people shop elsewhere. Maybe the vastly more expensive Bristan taps might deliver what they promise, but this particular set of bathroom sink taps don't live up to what they offer. These have a 5 year warranty, get something longer lasting. Disappointing stuff!
