Spellbinders S41005 Shapeabilities Dies-Holiday Cabinet Inserts

First, Spellbinders dies are very high quality and I have quite a few and have had no problems with any of them in terms of cutting accurately and holding up to regular use.I got this Santa die as an impulse buy just for the hat -- I'd seen someone else use an assortment of die shapes to make a Baby Yoda Christmas card and I had everything I needed but the hat, so I got this die to use the hat and it works perfectly for that. I have only made a full santa design as intended one time and it's a bit fiddly (as all the more complex paper-piecing type dies are) but the finished product looks great on its own or as part of a card.The star ratings specifically ask about versatility and this is a more versatile die than would appear at first glance. First, the santa image itself as designed looks great and has plenty of uses. The finished image is about 3" high and maybe 2" wide including the end of the hat, so a parfect size for standard A2 card making. Second, I've already mentioned the hat being used on its own, but you can also use the beard die as wild standup hair (think Mr. Coldmiser or a troll doll, or anime character. Third the mustache is its own die and although the mustaches on everything trend is old now, you may still want a mustache to decorate some other image and this one would work fine.I bought this pretty far into the last Christmas season so didn't get a ton of use out if yet but it's a timeless design that I expect to use on Christmas cards for years to come.

These Spellbinders Shapeabilities Dies worked great for making cards for my family and friends. Just as the product describes, they produces beautiful crisp die cuts every time!. There are six different holiday sentiments included so you can be certain to find the perfect sentiment that will work for your holiday card making needs.I have read several reviewers stating they had issues removing the highly intricate die cut from the metal die. I have not had this issue. However, here is a tip. Believe it or not, Wax paper is a quick fix! Simply use a piece of wax paper between the die and the card stock you are cutting. This will help release the paper from your intricate metal die. It's that simple! I would definitely recommend these without hesitation.. Easily cuts paper and makes great flowers for paper crafting projects.

These dies make beautiful Christmas cards. They are small enough to fit on a card. Good quality. I'm only sorry I lost the flying bird (may have slipped into the waste basket), but I still have hopes of finding it. That's the only problem with small dies, unless you mount them immediately on a magnetic mat. I've used the animal dies in other places on cards.

Very cute when put together. Having to do the hat twice to get the white-the brim and the puff is inconvenient. Also, the nose being attached to the cap and having to do that separately requires patience. The eyes are cute but small-takes patience. Suggest you look at YouTube to see how to put it together.

I got this guy to work with the 3D vignette dies for my Christmas scene and they came out wonderful. Again every machines different so once you figure out how they work in your machine they cut just fine.

I've used all of these so far to make some holiday cards for a fundraiser coming up later this summer, and I really do like them.They ARE a bit trickier than some of the other Spellbinders dies, even some of the intricate lacy ones. I've gotten them to work by using wax paper between the die and my paper/cardstock, and also by using a ball stylus tool (from a flower shaper set) that will fit the release holes in each die. They cut nicely, but I usually use a metal shim just to be sure I'll get a clean cut.I've been using these with mirror card stock in gold and silver, as well as textured solid color card stock, and so far, I like the results.I like these; don't love them, but can recommend to those who don't mind putting a bit more effort into working with them.

I have not used the product yet, but I have other items from this manufacturer and have always be satisfied. The same die is available locally for twice the price. I got a very good deal.

This tool is a game-changer for the art studio! I have used this many times now, with Christmas themes, winter scenes, personal encouragement, birthday as shown, etc., and the possibilities are truly endless! Once you get the hang of it (no directions gave me a challenge), the only limit is your imagination - and makes using it truly enjoyable!

These were easy to cut and glue onto card stock. Great for small cards as they text doesn't overpower the front of the card. Good for stacking too, cut 3 times, glue together and you have a nice dimensional word.

Exactly like the photo a bit fiddly to put together but it is worth it
