Look, I love my Leica Q2s; Reporter and Monochrome. But let’s face it, the price of the Leica thumb rest is a little too much for me. Pay for the camera, rest your thumb on something priced for your thumb!

This is a sturdy Thumb-Rest, made from anodized metal in the same finish as the camera. It looks and feels great.You "can" insert this into the hot shoe on the camera with some force, which is a very solid fit and will not move. The problem comes when you try and get it out. You cannot put enough force on the little thumbnail indent, you have to lever it out with something between it and the camera.If you don't plan on using a hot-shoe flash unit on the top, then it's great!

Thumb grip is great. You absolutely CANNOT remove it without damaging something. If you buy this, plan on never using the hot shoe!

I have big hands, but my first day with my new Q2 hurt my wrist - shooting one-handed using the built-in thumb indentation caused my wrist to bend at just a little bit of an angle, which put stress on the wrist.Ordered this grip after not find anyplace that had the Leica version or the Match technical version in stock. I figured for a fraction of the price it was worth a shot.Build quality is great. It’s solid, no unsightly seams, no annoying visible labels. Color matches my Q2 perfectly, Fit on the hot shoe is very tight, so I’m confident it won’t go anywhere.Using the camera one-handed with the grip installed makes all the difference. No more wrist pain, no more awkward angle for my hand. Highly recommended.

If you have big hands (and a bit of arthritis) the Q2 is a bit small and I find this thumbrest provides a better grip on the camera. Lot cheaper than Leica's own version.

The Haoge Thumb Grip for the Leica CL was top-notch, and this version for the Leica Q2 follows suit. It improves the grip on the camera, has a very tight fit, and perfectly contours to the Q2 body. The thumb area also has a few advantages. First, it's larger and even more comfortable to hold. And secondly, it is angled, (see photo 2) to offer a more comfortable grip with less strain on your wrist. It has been very well designed.Fit and finish are also top-notch. It appears to be made out of aluminum so it's nice and light. One improvement for future models could be to round the tail portion that flairs out. It looks fantastic, but a bit more rounded would be more ergonomic. Secondly, if it had a small half-moon cutout there near the back button on the Q2, the button would be easier to press. Highly recommended!

Vorab, der Griff sitzt perfekt und erhöht den Haltekomfort der Q2 enorm. Absolut saubere Verarbeitung und hochwertiges Material! Aber(!): der Teil, der in den Blitzschuh eingeschoben wird, ist einen mü zu dick! Fazit, der Griff geht sehr schwer rein und ist auf normale Weise nicht mehr zu entfernen! Man läuft Gefahr, sich dabei die Q2 zu zerstören, oder mindestens zu zerkratzen! Wer also nie an den Blitzschuh muss, kann ihn ruhig benutzen, da ist er top, ansonsten besser Finger weg!

El problema es que entra muy forzado en la zapata del flash… ya no lo podía sacar.
