Review Change (due to customer service)
I wrote a review yesterday 10 june 2014 (Old Review Below) and changed it 11 June 2014. Why did my review go from 2 stars to 5 stars? Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service. Most times when you have a complaint you call and they get back to you or tell you return it and they say they will send you a new one. Well not this time. I wrote my review yesterday and less than 12 hours later (today at around 9 AM) I got a call from the owner/creator of the camera buddy. He told me he read my review and wanted to do everything he could to correct the problem. He was a man of his word. First off I did not contact him all I did was right a review. We had a 2 hour time difference and we set up a Skype video chat at 5pm his time 3 pm my time. He spent an hour on Skype going over my unit and how to get the most out of it. By the end of our Video chat he determined my unit might be slightly defective and he said he would send me a new one. Will Jimeno (who is the creator) is a great guy. He really cares about his business, and it shows by him calling less than 12 hours after my review was posted. I have never had that kind of service before in my life. (kind of scary that he could get my cell phone number like that) but very cool that he did. Over all him taking the time to walk me through my Camera buddy changed my entire out look on his product. I already like the camera mount. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it did not fit me. He showed me on Skype a guy he has working for him around my size that 3 different camera buddies fit him just fine. Which means that the fault was just in a defective unit (sewing). I did a screen record of our Skype call and will post it when I do the product review with the new one he is sending. Now I am a fan of the product and the man who started/created it. Visit their site [...]. Thank you Mr. Jimeno you changed my out look on how customer service should/could be.(OLD REVIEW)Must be for bigger people or only worn with large jacket.I am a grown man 35 years old 5' 9" 185 lbs. I can not get it to fit me right. I want to use this for several reasons. I have 4 Gopros and thought this would be a great view so I can be in some of the video I shoot. I ride a HD street glide and I tried this mount on it today. Video was pretty good. Mount stayed stable while over my jacket and under my reflective vest (military). I got up to a little over 80 MPH and it did not move to much but it did move. The mount mainly moves when you hit a bump. I gave it a 2 because I have the over the shoulder straps as tight as the can be adjusted when I don't have on a jacket and it is still loose. the chest or waist belt does not hold the bottom of the back plate to your back. So it seems to bounce a lot while walking, I can't stand that. I will not always be wearing a jacket. I have the chest strap so tight I can't breath and it still moves. I will not get rid of it cause I like the price and the swivel of the arm is great. I will try to get the straps fixed somewhere so it is more stable. I am sure they will need to be completely replaced. does it work yes does it work well no. I will be shooting a product review on Youtube. The only one I found on youtube was made by the maker who are a little bit larger than I am. Not happy with it but for the price I will keep it.

NOTE per manufacturer: this is NOT for action sports - Arm is not designed to withstand rigors of extreme sports.
Edit: 3-12-15 Unsolicited and out of the blue, I received a phone call from Will, the inventor of this product. We had a very nice long conversation about the capabilities of the current iteration of the product. I have to say, I have never, ever had a company personally reach out in response to a customer review and for that Will gets an A+ in integrity and commitment to his product. Too bad all companies do not put as much work into customer service. As it stand now, Will informed me the product was intended for low impact events/sports, but they are working on a new version that will befit the needs of the more extreme sports. I will have to bide my time until then. As a result of my conversation with Will, I am upgrading my initial review form 1 start to 3 stars. Based on my trial of the current system, I would agree it would suffice nicely for low impact events where quick body movements or jarring directional changes are not common. My in ital review is listed below. I have removed the link to the video as it is no longer necessary to belittle the product for not meeting the demands of action sports after learning it was not designed for action sports.Initial Review:DO NOT BUY!! This is a terrible product!! Purchased via Amazon a few weeks ago and the weather finally broke enough for the mountain bike trials to open and for me to try this thing out, I tried to use it with my Sony Action Cam (AS30V) while mountain biking and it failed miserably. Every bump I hit the arm would (makes ratcheting sounds) move from the position I wanted it until it ultimately just fell completely forward. I had the straps snug to my body per the instructions; however the arm itself is junk - it simply would not stay in place. Tried twice, even had other riders on the trial try it out. Everyone agreed - total junk. Watch the attached video - listen for the "Clunk" and "ratchet" sounds - that is the arm moving every time I hit a bump...and that is not even on the technical part of the trail - it's on the entry!! I purchased this based on the videos at the manufacturer's website - dirt bike and three wheeler - no way this is the same product.

Backpack Portion Cheaply Made
The bendable arm unit is a great idea.. and seems to be of fairly solid construction. However, the backpack is made very cheaply, I'll be doing more test shots with it but you will indeed have to snug this unit incredibly tightly to your body to achieve the limited motion (or limit the jumping around of the camera) that they promise. For something that costs $150 -- and I have some gorgeous packs I use for production that cost far less and use far better materials -- the backpack portion was a bit of a disappointment. However, there are very few GoPro options at this point that give you that 3rd person perspective and the Sail Video Systems rig sold by a 3rd party is far more money and could well impale you.

This is one of the best things ever made
This is one of the best things ever made! Are you having trouble with shacking the camera while holding the camera for still shots? Did you ever want to ride a bike safely without holding a camera? This thing works super great for taking videos on the move! And, if you have Wi-Fi on that camera? This is a super kick but idea to have along anywhere. There is just not enough things I can say about this product. Sells out fast so that has to tell you something. When and if you find one? Jump on it!

This product exceeded my expectations
I bought this product to make some fishing/ hunting videos but decided to give my first try with it while snowboarding. The arm stayed in place at high speeds and rough terrain including some tree skiing. It was comfortable while wearing it and I was able to move the arm down over my shoulder that getting onto the chair lift wasn't a concern of getting caught on anything. The view the gopro captures is unlike any other product I have used. I look forward to making a lot of videos in the future with this!
