Not very fun
I got this toy for my girls (ages 9 and 7) for xmas because they love baking. This was a disaster. It comes pouring out of the spout and you have to turn the tray quick enough so it doesnt overflow all while pulling the spatula handle that was very hard to pull. It would get stuck and even with my girls pulling it as hard as they can it still didnt budge. It was a complete failure as a product. Would of been easier to just dump the mix right into the trays and forget the whole machine part of it. The donuts taste like cake/brownies. They did not taste like donuts at all. I dont foresee us using this product very often as it was a waste of time and money and made a complete mess.

Good for project with parent and small kids
The packages of donut mix don't make enough to push through the 'machine'. We ended up just mixing the batch in the bowl and spooning it into the tray. Little ones thought it was fun anyway as they could eat what they made. Kids over 7 or so would think it was not very interesting and that it doesn't work.

Disappointing
It is a shame these types of toys make it to the shelves from the manufacturers. This is one of those things that lure your child through the TV commercials and is nothing but a huge disappointment from the very first "use"....I use the term "use" loosely because your child really cannot "use" it as advertised. They will end up improvising and doing their best to enjoy this toy but in the end you will find that going out and just buying them a box of cake mix and turning them loose in your kitchen will provide them MORE fun, LESS frustration and LESS mess for you!!! Good luck if you choose to purchase...you will need it! lol

It's cake... not donuts
This toy is ridiculous! I actually bought it at Shopko and thankfully we got it for $7.99 because it's not worth anything more than that. What a joke. It's just plain old cake batter. Whoopee! The "donut" batter doesn't come out of the dispenser very fast at all. I was hitting the top trying to get it out faster. I sprayed the "donut" pan and the "donuts" still stuck! My daughter couldn't even frost them because they were in pieces. Save your money and go buy a cake mix and let your kids have a hay day frosting it. This toy is out of hand ridiculous!
