A bit more religious than I expected
I loved the first two books but this one gave me pause. I wasn't expecting the religious tone. If I had known it would take that turn in the final book, I probably wouldn't have ever started this series. I like to stay far, far away from religion, thank you.Despite the religous tone, I really did enjoy this book and I can't give it anything less than a 4.5 star rating. I really liked Eve, which came as a huge surprise to me since I tend to avoid the naive, virginal heroines. But Eve was funny and intelligent. She definitely was not too stupid to live as so many naive her heroines usually are. At one point she considered running away from the guys so they wouldn't have to leave the school with her but, after some thought, she realized that was dumb. At that point I wanted to high five her. You go, girl!Basically, I really, really liked this series and I highly recommend it. But I will say that if religion is your trigger, you might want to skip this series.

Stunning conclusion to an epic series
Nine Lives is the stunning, epic conclusion of Ms Akeroyd's new academy trilogy. It's mind-blowing, emotional, and thrilling. If you are not reduced to tears by the end of the book then I won't know what else could possibly move you to tears. The ending is Ah-mazing.What started as an academy series has now morphed into an epic fight between good and evil as Eve follows the roadmap inked on her body to fulfill her destiny. In doing this, Eve has transformed from the innocent, naive girl who set foot in Caelum at the start of the trilogy into a strong, decisive young woman who loves and is loved. She has Chosen well in the short time she's been at Caelum and her life has taken a momentous turn as events and a destiny greater than she could ever imagine engulfs her life and that of her Chosen mates. I'm amazed by her purity of heart and her strength of will and determination as she faces down something of supreme proportions.By now, we have also learned the histories of all the guys and let me tell you, theirs is a tale you want to know and your heart will ache for them and for the hurt and pain they have endured in their young lives. It's hard to pick a favorite of all the seven guys because they are all unique and special in their own way. Each one brings something different to the table with their individual souls and their personalities. Ms Akeroyd has done a wonderful job of making each guy unique.Of note for me and what really melted my heart was when Eve told each of the seven men she loved them. It was such a heartwarming moment and yet bittersweet given the circumstances. Follow it up with the incredible ending as Ms Akeroyd does something which I call my "catnip of romance endings" and this book is simply perfection. Here's the thing. I get if you're not into academy stories (I'm not really, this is my first. YA does not do it for me). I also get if you're not into the whole reverse harem genre, but that said... I would urge you to give this series a shot because it's more than just academy and reverse harem. It's about the transformation of an innocent into a strong, remarkable woman. It's about love and being Chosen. It's about loving despite flaws and quirks (and trust me you'll know what I mean when you meet Dre). It's about sin and forgiveness, good and evil. It's so much more than a bunch of kids going on an adventure. It's about maturing into the men and woman they are meant to be, overcoming insurmountable odds, life, and triumph. So yeah, even if you're not into the two things I mentioned earlier, read this because its a Damn, Good. Read.Ms Akeroyd, I love your freaky brain. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Different
This series was different than other RH stories I've read. The story line was interesting and kept me wanting to know more. I felt like the characters were well developed. What I didn't care for was the order that she claimed her guys. Please don't confuse that with her choosing them. I kind of felt it was unfair how she claimed them, especially considering that it was painful for the guys not to be claimed. she allowed that to go on for way too long. I get that her naivety originally made it that way. But once she decided to start claiming I didn't care for the order she went in. Also, I personally like more sex than this series had. I mean she has 7 guys and you really only get a sex scene when she claims them... I was just thinking that it doesn't seem normal for healthy young people to have so little sex. I realize some people prefer there not to be a lot of sex, but I at least like more than there was.Still, it was a good series that's totally worth reading.

I wish more stars were available to give
This trilogy has completely blown me away... there are absolutely no words I can use to describe the depth that this creation has within its pages...I was entranced... so much so that I have devoured all 3 books over 2.5 days. The twists to what we all think of as religion...the purity of Eve's outlook...the hella plot twists (like....there's no climax because literally every new reveal is a climax...hold onto your heart and go potty before you read or you may pee yourself) made this story impossible to put down. IMPOSSIBLE. This was my first intro to this author and I seriously need more.

Extremely and Pleasantly surprised!!!!!
I took a chance with the first book in this series and fell in love with the characters and their stories!!! The twist that this story took was really good!!! I am so glad that Eve was able to return to her mates!!! I only wished that I could have read more about how their lives progressed from fighting battles to their personal lives, to how much they reacted to Eve being pregnant, to how they reacted to to parenting..... I also wonder if they were able to achieve their vengeance... But I did love this series!!!!

Great ending
I loved this series. I was surprised with how much religion/Christianity played a role in this series given Eve’s upbringing in a cult. It wasn’t bad or unenjoyable, I just thought the author would go in a different direction. This story was incredibly unique and so much fun to read. There were times where I felt overwhelmed with the information being revealed about Eve and why she is different from her 7 mates. I found myself confused but not enough to turn me off of the hook. Overall, it was a fantastic journey full of action, love, and a happily ever after for Eve and her 7 mates.

What an amazing ride!
This final book concludes the story of Eve and her men and I am sad to see them leave. There was a lot of information coming at me in this book about Eve and her destiny. The execution of that destiny was epic and made this plot even more unique (I loved the Adam & Eve twist even though I'm not religious). Some parts of this book gave me goosebumps and others made me tear up. It was definitely worth reading!
