No, each tube is a different length and colour. You can play tunes by following colour rather than reading music. You can also buy caps for the ends of the tubes to change the octave

That’s exactly what they are. Each tube makes a note. It’s based on the length of the tube and you must keep them round, do not allow them to be squashed or flattened. There are lots of Boom Whacker videos on you tube to get you started.
