How does the skew jig attach to the base or arm extention since it does'nt show a picture

Brad, the skew jig slips over the end of the adjustable tool arm extension. A hand screw simply tightens the skew jig to the extension arm. As the picture shows, to get the edge of the skew parallel to the grinding wheel for perfect sharpening along the entire edge of the skew without changing the angle, first place the end of the handle in the V groove on the left to sharpen one side then switch the handle to the groove on the right to sharpen the other side. Very easy set up and does a great job.

when using this attachment what is the best angle for a shew

when I sharpen my skew I grind a 45 degree angle across the tip and a 35 degree angle on the face. Everyone has their own way to sharpen tools so you may want to try a couple angles to see what works the best for you. Hope this helps.

does this attachment come with the V-arm attachment?

No, it fits into the standard vee-arm that comes with the Wolverine grinding jig. You have to have the full Wolverine jig to use the Skew Grind Attachment.

How well does it work with an oval skew?

I am not sure about how well it works with a oval skew, but I was well pleased with the results on how it helped sharpen my turning chisels tools.
