JGR6.0 6.0L Diesel HFCM Water in Fuel WIF Drain Plug Compatible with Ford Powerstroke Red

This is a great upgrade over the factory drain plug. Easier to remove thanks to the hex head design. It is a 1inch hex head. I was able to tighten by hand, but gave it a slight turn with the wrench. DON'T put full force behind the wrench. one finger push on the wrench is more than enough.

This is definitely way better than Fords original design. My only issue is that it doesn’t come with instructions. I know that seems kinda dumb… you unscrew one and screw in the other, but it comes with two O-rings and doesn’t say why. I just assumed one was an extra and held on to it. So far that has proven me right because I don’t have any leaks. All in all if you’re still using the factory water drain plug in your fuel system, but this immediately.

Prompt delivery to quickly replace a 15 year old aftermarket drain plug that was damaged and leaking with this plug. Easy change out. Front drive shaft blocked direct access on our 06 truck but just angled it a little and easily installed without need to cut the stem off. Came with extra o ring. 1 1/16” open end wrench fits plug if ever need to loosen or snug it up. Cannot speak toward longevity as only installed a few hours ago. Update...after about 5-6 monthly draining of the HFCM, I suspect the o ring maybe stuck in the threads making it difficult to loosen, even with a wrench. Loosened just enough to drain a small trickle this time since didn't have a spare o ring handy. Anyone know the o ring size by chance? Assume it's same as OEM o ring in factory plug.

Very cheep upgrade for your truck but makes it very easy to drain the water, also looks sharp, comes with a extra o-ring which is nice my old plug was stripped out very happy with this upgrade

That little post sticking out of it to keep it dangling from the lift pump housing is kind of stupid. The point of this drain is to drain the crap out of the pump housing. With this plug dangling in the way you can't easily flush out the pump housing. So I used a die grinder to cut that post off, problem solved, works great now.
