The 50ft neon led is currently installed where the ceiling meets the wall in my bedroom. I have had it for 2 months this day of writing.When i first received the neon led it had a smell of grease and it made my hands stink when handling it.I let it air out in the garage for 3 days.I spent about 2 hours installing it. After installation I turned it on and enjoyed the new look it gave my room.After about 20 minutes I could smell what I can only imagine is the smell of the silicon heating up the same "grease" smell I described earlier. It gives me a headache when I smell it. Or I get a headache and then leave the room and can smell it when I come back in the room. It takes about 45 minutes now for it to begin to start smelling on the color white at its normal brightness when you turn it on. Turning it down to its lowest brightness it takes about 2 hours to begin smelling. The color green is similar, I rarely use blue but It would probably be similar but once you start moving to the warmer colors like yellow, orange, red and pink it doesn't smell at all at a lower brightness setting. At least it isn't noticeable.The downside to the controller is that you don't get purple. There are 3 pink settings. You get every other color and even a really nice shade of orange that I don't see from other led controllers which is probably my favorite setting. You can see the the individual LEDs just behind the silicon. That hasn't really been an issue for me but it might be for some. Overall its added a nice ambiance to the room and it was a lot cheaper than the other competitors out there.I was worried about it not working properly or being two different colors and having to send it back.So far so good.

First for the great part. The LED’s are masterfully hidden by the overlying material. Colors are brilliant. Was hoping for a bit more in terms of ability to control different lighting screens so a slight downgrade here.Now for the horrible part. The supplied screws are too short for installation ease, especially when installing overhead. Worse yet, the metal into which the Phillips head pattern is stamped is soft and easily destroyed by a powered driver. Had to scramble and buy quality #6, 1-inch long woodcutting screws. Getting and using them made the installation much more user friendly.Bottom line - if you purchase this product go out and buy some quality wood screws rather than the “junk” screws supplied.

I really enjoy these lights, I did have an issue with some moisture getting in and causing a failure to the controller…that said I spoke with customer service and they worked with me very quickly to make it right. The solution was to replace the controller, they walked me through it and my experience was great. They are working again and kiddo is happy!

For the neon RGB it has 4 wires that power and control the LEDs. The suggested method of cutting the run uses a 4 prong shoved inside the silicone line to connect to power or extend a run.1- it's a loose connection. It may work initially but it will eventually work loose.2- the silicone separates and the stranded wires can fan out connecting neutral to positive and blowing the power supply.3- the power supply has a 8amp fuse but it's embedded in siliconish material. You can't replace the fuse.4- you basically get one shot of jamming the 4 little sharp pronged connector into the cut line. If you connect then disconnect it pulls out of the cut side and spreads the wires making shorting the power a near guarantee- blowing the power supply.5- if you screw up jamming in the pronged connector you have to cut the led line 1.5' back to get a clean connection to try again.6- while the kit wasn't terribly expensive- the replacement power supplies are 1/2 the cost. I've blown 3 so far just trying to get 2 lines connected.7- no good method to solder the connectors on or repair the junction. On e the silicone separates it's a mess with all 4 stranded wires exposed with no good way to shield them because they are set in the silicone bare.I'm about to chuck the whole setup out. I've wasted so much time trying to get their connection setup to work or work around it that I'm ready to start over.This is only good if you intend to use the whole run with no cuts or extensions. My project has 3 cuts with whips to the next lighting section and I would have been better off having 3 separate power supplies.

This item is amazing, the lights are beautiful,the installation was easy aand had sufficient mounting hardware, but I ordered the 3.3 foot mounting rails, the best decision I made, so much easier. I had to contact the CS department pre and post order and the same person addressed all my questions. Please note the lights are not flexalbe like spaghetti but have and make an awesome curve around corrners.I did my research for about a month and I made the best choice and found the best product

Works great. Make sure you understand the temperature, since this is very cold (meaning blueish it makes it easier to understand).I installed a dimmer with it and works awesome, making it less bright.the only down part is the installation pets: the small aluminum holders are not enough for all of this rope, therefore one less star.The rope itself is flexible enough to play with, but not easy to make a perfect corner.Comparing to other products, this is a good one, just in the pricey range.
