These lights really are pretty cool. The ISS was my first Lego build in 25 years and honestly it is plain sitting on a shelf. These lights really make it shine.Like others said, they're somewhat a pain to install. My lights did not get tangled. As long as you lay everything out you're fine. The instructions were clear enough for me, however they don't have any words, just pictures. I don't think these are meant to be a five minute installation... part of the fun is wiring up your ISS...Like others said, half of my station imploded when installing the wires on one of the outside solar arrays. No problem, just put it back together. I did use a tiny bit of Elmer's glue for that solar array, but I probably didn't need it.The USB cable out the back is kind of short, was hoping to not need to use the 3AA battery pack, but I'll think of something.Took me maybe one hour to install the lights. Make sure you have tweezers or use the screw driver included in this pack to help maneuver the wires. Highly recommend this or another light set for your ISS!

Wow! These lights took the Lego Galaxy Explorer from great to amazing! Everything about this light set is well thought out and designed. My 19 year old added these lights and was impressed with how the wires were all the right length and well hidden. Also the power pack can be attached to a Lego board and built into or onto a display. Finally the packaging and directions made installation easy. It was not a quick process, but good things take time, and that's part of the fun! Thank you LIGHTAILING for designing an awesome product. I think I will now shop for light kits first then find the corresponding Lego set!

It takes some delicate work to get this light kit installed, but it's surely worth it and the quality is fine. I added a diode 1N4005 to drop the voltage 0.7V and power it via a USB power adapter. It seems too bright if you don't add such diode and this light kit will last longer with the diode added.

Full disclosure; I bought this for a Christmas gift. However, I bought it based upon my own experience with this company's lighting kit for the Lego Bespin Duel (the limited edition set). When assembled it looks nice, convincing, and an otherwise fine complement to a stationary display set. Care needs to be taken when connecting the led wires to the "power strip" brick. This is noted in the instructions. But if you don't align the connectors properly you can easily break them. Also, I would note that it's easier to include the lighting kit when building the unassembled lego set. I did it the other way; it still works but it is a bit tricker to do cable management that way. Finally, sometimes the parts have a finicky connection (least as far as the leds for things like lightsabers go). But as long as its a stationary display set that's not a problem either. So all in all, this company's lighting kits are a good complement to a stationary lego display.

With patience and being very careful the process was not too bad. I recommend watching the installation on line. There are videos available. The booklet is hard to read and follow. Overall very happy how it looks. Next up light system for my Volvo truck.

Ok, this is a somewhat expensive option, so I would recommend to get a kit like this for the sets that you know you are going to enjoy, they add a lot to them. They're great regardless, but that's where my budget is anyways.USB joiner is included to get all the circuits into a single USB outlet, I love it, I wish my other lighting kits from other brands included these. The included battery pack is nice, though I have no idea how long the battery will last, I haven't run it much since I got it, since I don't want to drain the batteries right away.The lights are great, the instructions were clear enough for assembly.

Haven unboxed it, but it’s on her wish list. Hope she likes the lights. I got lighting for other Lego models in the past they think it is cool.

...probably a good example of something that may be a good idea, but fails in execution. Installation is VERY fiddly and requires a lot and patience and care. The wires are extremely thin and just cannot stand very much fiddling. My son and I were trying hard to think ahead- trying to keep fiddling to a minimum- and to be very gentle and careful but one wire broke with just a few steps remaining. Everything downstream from the break stops working. The wires are too thin to even consider a repair. My son was very disappointed and even when I offered to buy another, he declined. You may fare better but overall not worth the price or effort.

The media could not be loaded.  This kit is a must have accessory for an awesome display piece!With the lights off and LEDs on the you can really picture this thing travelling through space. Sure, the kit is a little finicky, and the instructions could be much larger for ease of use, but a little trial and error and it goes together nicely. The finished product is well worth the effort for sure.

This lego set was a gift for my grandson who is very adept at assembling lego. It had more than 1100 pieces and he had it built within hours of receiving it as a gift for his birthday. It is very impressive when done and also ,the lighting set added to it was impressive. Very pleased with the items and with the prompt service and delivery.

Me decepcionaron un poco porque es súper complicado instalas, especialmente si ya tenías armado el barco. Para ponerlas hay que desbaratar varias partes de este :(

It seems a great idea but it’s hard to fathom and instal…. We still haven’t sorted it!
