Review: Recommendation - I noticed a small hole, about a half inch long on the driver's side. From outside it looked like a cut but from the inside I saw that it was a spot worn through from the inside out. I used the needle and thread to put about five stitches in after I let the top down so the cut could close up. Then I put the top back up, latched it and put a coat of adhesion glue on the inside of the top and then a two inch piece of the vinyl patch supplied. I did not put any glue or tape on the outside. I also spotted a worn area on the same corresponding place on the passenger side and used the glue and a patch to protect that area. My top is about 18 years old and car is garage kept. So far so good after a month.

**Q: I have a knife slash about 10 inches. Will this kit be enough to fix it?**
A: I dont know about 10 inches. I fixed my wife Mustang convertible where the seam was on both sides. Its a temporary fix. So far lasted 2 years. The seam came undone about 4 inches.

**Q: is it work on canvos top too? I have an old mercedes.**
A: I would not recommend this to repair a canvas top of a Mercedes.  Have it repaired professionally.

**Q: Are the patches black?**
A: They are black patches. I found that they did not last very well, maybe only a month before they came off. I would not buy this again.

**Q: The fabric is coming loose from frame-will this work to glue back to frame?**
A: No, it is just for waterproofing seams, not strong enough to hold any tension.

Had an "L" shaped tear in my Wrangler soft top, about 6 inches in total length. First used the needle and thread, then the glue, then the tape strips both on the inside and outside. So far it hasn't leaked, but the inside could look a lot better. This stuff is STICKY, so be sure to use the gloves and only get the glue where you absolutely need it.
