I am a DIY sort of fella. As in, a father of 2 boys, spending all my free time repairing holes in walls, rehanging anything not already in a wall stud, and basically fixing one thing after another.I have invested in contractor-grade power tools, but gotta save a little when I can if I'm ever going to get these kids down the road off the college.This thing has a comparable build quality to much more expensive name brands. Obviously, time will tell as far as durability, but I am very confident It will hold up with proper use and storage. Pick up the accidental coverage if you want peace of mind (or are just clumsy). The seller checks out for me as one to make it right if I have a problem under normal use, so I passed. Ran through the paces and works just as described with accuracy. I would recommend a tripod for ease of use + 2 really get the most out of it. Functions are straightforward, once you read the tiny instruction section. Weeding through the reviews, and now handling it operationally myself, I conclude most of the comments and negative reviews are from individuals who did not read these basic instructions or I difficulty understanding them. Leaving me to conclude those stated issues are simple user error. The others without high marks seem to be related to shipping issues or damage items or missing parts and the like. While it is inconvenient to actually send something for replacement and such, let's stop the misleading negative product reviews on DOA or damaged products. There's better places do review sellers and shippers. As far as this particular product, do not hesitate to give this a try.

We bought this laser level for my father as a Christmas gift, and we wanted to test that it was functioning correctly before gifting it to him.This laser level is awesome.The price is fantastic, and the instructions were simple to follow for setup and use. I tested it on various surfaces in my house; and as long as I stayed within its self-leveling range, it was perfectly level each time (confirmed using my handheld levels). Also, the laser shoots in a wide cross that can be adjusted into vertical and horizontal lines as needed. It's very easy to see (at least on white/gray walls).The design and material for the level feels sturdy, and it comes with a small velcro carrying pouch and magnetic wall-mounting device.The only issue we had was that at least one of the batteries was dead that came with the device. Fortunately, that was an easy fix.He's super excited about his new level. Looks like I'm going to be needing to purchase one for myself, because this is a tool everyone should have in their arsenal.

The product is rugged. I tested it for accuracy by using the water level tool and it was accurate. It is easy to use and the brightness is acceptable. The battery compartment lid is a bit hard to open . Although it has the directions how to open the lid in the manual, the product can be improved by adding “open” or an arrow on the lid showing where to pull the lid. For durability, I can not comment at this time. It needs time to test out. A bit confusing how to turn it off. Why not using the same “ON” button to turn it off? Overall this got my job done with less headaches.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm impressed with this Line Laser for the money I paid. It works as advertised, arrived quick and comes with a case, mounting bracket and batteries. Its easy to use, and is quick to set up.I tested it from 0-30+ft and its dead on accurate and self leveling as long as you keep the unit itself leveled. Features are cool too ! Offers crisscross pattern, single vertical or single horizontal laser lines, all with the press of a button. I also like the locked line mode for custom angles option.The laser lines were strong enough to see with the lights on. So thats good. But too much daylight does weaken them, though still visible if your looking for them.Are there better line lasers out there ? Sure, for $200-$800+. I think this thing definitely is a good bank for buck. All in all, man this thing can't be beat for the money and I'm happy using it !

I absolutely love this product! I'm the type of person who feels like everything has to be dead on straight and if it isn't I will see that it is off every time I walk by. I have had my eye on this for probably a solid year and when I decided to finish my basement I finally decided to pull the trigger. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner! Great product that is super accurate and super bright. It can be a bit confusing at first as the button on the top looks like the power button but it actually isn't. The power button is right below the laser sight and it is a rather large mechanical switch. I have used this wonderful product to frame up walls and it has been going great. Obviously you can't plop it down and expect it to be straight so you need to make sure that you make a mark at the end of what you are measuring and then just line it up from there. Laser is red which I have heard is a bit more difficult to see during the day. I have only used it in my basement and I have been able to use it at night and day. If you need to see it really well just turn off the lights and the red laser really shines. In my basement where I needed to frame a wall I just turned off one section of lights and was easily able to see it. I also used it when lining up my canned lights and I was able to see the laser line great with all the lights on. This is an awesome product! I'm a bit of a name brand guy but the price that Bosch, Dewalt, and Milwaukee are asking for laser levels is absurd! This does a great job for the DIY'er and at a great price!

I needed to hang wallpaper in two rooms and thought this would help. It is dead accurate and simple to use. I didn't have to plumb and mark vertical lines, this laser level took care of all the work. It's a nice size and comes with a wearable pouch.
