Good game for a family of different ages, helps keep people interested during other people's turns
We have a 10 year old boy who loves shipwrecks, so we got this game. Family is 2 adults, a 17, 13, and 10 year old. We love Splendor and there's a slight aspect like that involved in the game, so I figured it'd be a hit with us. So far we've played it 3 times, and each time once we think we know the strategy to win, someone tries a different strategy and makes us wonder if we're wrong. So it's not all luck, which is wonderful, and because of the game mechanics, we don't have problems with people tuning out completely while it isn't there turn when all 5 of us are playing, it's not keeping everyone completely actively engages, but there's enough thinking and planning and sometimes extra goodies coming your way while it's not your turn that it's not a bad wait for your turn to come. It does have a ton of pieces, but after the initial play through, it's easy enough. Good for all ages, it says 10+ and my 10 year old does perfectly well (other than getting slightly upset when someone buys the fish he wants) but a with it less than 10 year old...maybe down to 8 year old could likely do well enough to play.

Fun lighter game with some depth
This game is easy to learn and quick to play, but has hidden depth I wasn't expecting. You basically gather different tiles to either complete objectives to score points or build a vault of treasures for points. It's quick and has a lot of player interaction without being mean-spirited or hurting feelings.

Very Fun Game! Highly Recommend .
The only reason I am giving this four out of five stars is that the shells are all fairly similar and can be confusing. When watching online tutorials, all of the games feature a skull bobble (token) in place of one of the shells. My version has three shells, which isn't a big deal, but I feel the skull sets it apart from the other tokens, making it easier to teach young children and new players. Not sure why they would have changed that. Oh well. Other than that, the game is pretty simple and lots of fun!Highly Recommend .

Good fun
Fun family weight game. We house rule the starfish tokens to a max of two per order.

Great game!
I played this with two 14 year-olds and they loved it. Getting started took a learning curve but once we got the hang of it things moved quickly and they really got into the theme. The best part is that there are so many things to do and ways to get points that you can't do it all in one game and want to play again! Definitely glad I got this one!

FUN, Family Friendly, Gamer's Game for Kids!
FUN family game! Great "next step" game to introduce kids to the worker placement mechanism in gaming. This game also includes set collection, and is victory ala point salad. The production value is great - SUCH a beautiful game with good quality components. The theme is fun and completely family friendly (and my standards for this are higher than most). Our family really enjoys this game!

Damaged box but good gameplay
Game box is damaged but I don’t think it was damaged in the shipping process. It looks like a hard push from inside.Gameplay is good.

A whole lot of fun!
This arrived today which was perfect since a friend came over for some board gaming. We punched and played it (3p)..rules are pretty straightforward and the rulebook seems well-done. This is dice rolling and set collection but not like any other game in my collection. The components are really nice and this is the retail (as opposed to the kickstarter) version. We really enjoyed our play and are looking forward to the next one.
