I was looking for something smaller to attach to a cat step, but its made nicely

liked it very much but should have ordered a larger size

I used this inside a cardboard cat house. Not an exact fit, but it’s flexible. The cat likes it!

It was a little short but I thought it would be ok in her carrier, but she doesn’t seem to like it in there. I’ll move it to see if she likes it better.

it’s smaller than i anticipated- which is more of my fault. it works, and it’s WAY less messy than the cardboard scratchers. i don’t like how flimsy it is tho.. my cat can barely scratch before it lefts up.. a bigger one would have been better for me probably. she still uses it, but can’t scratch quite as well on it.

So the spouse coaxed a stray cat in a few years ago and, being the kitten of a stray, it likes to claw things. We've installed the clear plastic stuff around the end of the couch and that caused him to look elsewhere for his clawing fix. So we ordered this and (this is gonna sound a bit red-neckish but) we attached it to the end of the coffee table in a vertical position with double-sided tape and a small screw in each corner. It really doesn't look bad and Fyre really likes it. It has given him a place to do his clawing/stretching thing and has held up well to the punishment that our couch just wasn't up to. If he does manage to tear it up, we will buy another just like it.

It doesn’t have a way to secure it to an object

The quality is great and it serves its purpose. I put this under my window sill because my cat has been clawing on the wall in order to climb up. As a college student I'd rather avoid more damage fees and my cat has no choice but to support his paws on the wall if he wants to climb on. Also...BUY YOUR OWN VELCRO, THIS DOES NOT COME WITH ADHEISVE, just in case you haven't read the product description CLOSELY.

Mon chat adore faire ses griffes sur le canapé. Il n'a jamais regardé son arbre à chat, pourtant onéreux et plutôt stylé. Je lui ai donc acheté ce joli petit tapis pour qu'il puisse y faire ses griffes sans faire aucun effort (c'est un gros flemmard, ainsi qu'un grossier personnage, vous allez très vite comprendre pourquoi). Il a vomi dessus dès le premier jour. Ok, message reçu, il va continuer à massacrer mon canapé en toute impunité (et je continuerai à le nourrir et à nettoyer sa litière, en bon esclave soumis que je suis).Tant pis, j'aurai essayé. Sinon, si votre chat est moins ingrat que le mien, je pense que ce (petit) tapis peut être efficace.

Purchased to put on a corner stair to try to avoid our little tinker of a young cat clawing at the carpet & ruining it further! She’s a horizontal scratcher & not interested in the various scratching posts we’ve bought or the cardboard style scratching items either, just likes carpet! Purchased this mat in Hope she would use it as it’s flat like our carpet. This mat is quite a small size, actually seemed a bit smaller than what we were expecting, so if you have a large cat suggest purchasing the larger size mat. The small size mat is however fine for our cat as she’s not very big. The mat seems sturdy and grips to the carpet well. It appears very durable at first glance, but only time will tell how it will last. It does however look & feel like a standard door mat. Our cat seems to prefer sitting or sleeping on the mat at the moment rather than using it as a scratcher, but it’s early days & hopefully with a bit of coaxing, she will get used to it & give it a go to help save our stair carpet. Overall reasonable value for money & satisfied.

I'm sure some cats might love it, and it looks and feels like it should be really inviting for a cat to get their claws into. But cats are cats, and my particular version won't even touch it! Not for want of trying to instruct him either - my fingers are sore from dragging them over its rough surface to demonstrate how it should be done, while the cat sits next to me, with that "what on earth are you doing?" look.

It’s basically a sample piece of mat. Barely big enough for my large cat to stand on. As it is not large, it is not heavy, so any claws pulling on it means the mat gets pulled up. If it was a usual size of mat (like an entrance door mat) I’d give it a better review. But it was my fault for not looking carefully at the measurements. The quality itself is not bad.

Must admit that when I got this I thought it'll be wrecked within a month. Instead, 3 cats have used it as a bed, a throne or just generally ripped into it. It's not only survived, it doesn't look much different from Day 1.
