Escape Journey, Vol. 3 (Yaoi Manga)

Volume 3 did an awesome job covering how Naoto’s family handles his coming out and admittance of his relationship with Taichi and swaying the family’s thoughts on the matter of his orientation. I also did how it covered the other end also enjoyed how it covered the ongoing evolution of Taichi’s relationship with his mom and coming out to her and how her response ties in to what she may have felt about him and the family before the divorce. It would be interesting if we got even more of the series and saw how things evolved between them, and especially his half-sister of sorts.Lastly the reveal of Naoto and Taichi’s relationship to their closest friends was also interesting both with the tears but also with the resolution of it. Was all amazing from start to finish.And lastly, just on the whole vibe of everyone’s future together, it was a very hopeful and wonderful volume that brought the years long relationship to the best point ever. Taking us back to the scene on the bikes by the river and the emotional tears from it was beautiful.Very, very wonderful manga, and one that will be reread for years to come.

What I didn't like? Too short. Would have liked it to go on a bit longer. And the ending seemed a bit abrupt. Not a big fan of anal sex, but was okay. Just skimmed through that part. Overall I loved Nao and Taichi. At first I didn't know if I would like the series, but kept at it and glad I did. It is hard to find any gay romances in the USA so I am happy that I came across this type of story. Character development was good. Boys grew over time. Had good friends. They came to terms with who they were as a couple and what they wanted. Sweet that they wanted to be together forever. Hope it comes true for them. Maybe a follow up several years down the line?

I’ve been waiting for this last volume for so long now and I am very happy with the ending. I love how Taichi and Nao are supporting of each other. It brought happy tears to my eyes. I have read many BL manga now and often times the sexual portrayal overtakes the plot. I can assure everyone here that this manga balances both very well. The plot is interesting and quite realistic in terms of how relationships have their ups and downs. And sex scenes are breathtakingly beautiful and emotional- can only say they are works of art. I was a little pissed at Taichi in the beginning, but this manga is a great example of true character development, especially for Taichi. I will stop here, but this manga was sooo good that if I keep going I might give away some spoilers. All I can say is that it I am happy to support the author by buying the manga.

I love this manga and I want to own so I can put it in my shelf.I wish there was more. I don’t want this series to end.

Loved the series and had a good end. Though would definitely be up for a fast forward story about the future of their lives as working adults as a spin-off .

Ce manga traite avec excellence le sujet de l'homosexualité que ce soit du point de vue du couple que du regard des autres.En plus les dessins sont hyper bien travaillés ce qui le rend encore plus reel. Les personnages principaux sont supers attachants ! :3

Autant j'ai décroché du tome 2 par bien des égards que ce tome 3 était très bon. Un beau final touchant pour ces deux héros.
