Good rings
These help with the tone. For most of us who only have cheaper drum kits these rings just encourage you with that better tone. Use these rings and avoid all the sticky stuff other drummers stick all over their kit

Good product, they dampen the toms nicely. Easy to fit and remove as they’re literally just rings of plastic. Very helpful in a home studio.

Best for Studio/Rehearsal/Gigs
I use these rings on my kit ALL the time now - on all the toms and the snare drum. They keep the noise down a bit in the studio and sound great live under close mics. What can I say? They're WAY better than stick gels or tapes, just make sure you get an EMAD or EMAD 2 head for the bass drum though, then you won't need any felts or pillows in it.

Great solution for all drummers out there !
I recently brought a Pearl Starter Drumset as a birthday present for my son and once set up was disappointed about now having to become a music technician and learn how to muffle the drums !!! Saw a review of these E rings on Youtube and decided to give it a go. I am absolutely delighted with the product as the rings simply sit on the drums and produce the desired effect with minimum fuss. No opening up the drums and trying to stuff pillows, towels or even cuddly toys to do the same job ! Would highly recommend that you try this first. Reasonably priced and this particular set had the exact size of rings for the two toms, snare and floor tom....

Love these for eliminating an annoying "ring"
After about a month of trying to dampen and tune my toms and snare to eliminate an annoying slightly perceptible ring...I broke down and tried these...and immediately....gone. Backing up a bit I have a mid level 5 piece Ludwig kit, nothing awesome but for an intermediate level drummer of 20 years it is fine for me. I swapped to straight acoustics set after many years of playing with mostly Alesis high end electronic kits. Now I know how to tune an acoustic kit pretty well and I make sure all my lug tensions are set properly and matching on all drums etc. I put on a better set of Aquarian coated batters and had the sound I wanted but..still this annoying slight ring that just irritated me. I spent a month trying different lug tension setups on the reso verses the batter...ahhhh..still that ring. It wasn't a resonance thing as I first thought...it was a ring. I could affect resonance by changes is the reso head tension sure but this was a fairly constant thing. Tried tape...nope..some gels...not really much better. Kind of ran out of ideas. It wasn't anything I could tune out and I hate using fugly tape etc...and I am not into using the moon gels. So..I saw these and thought well...whats another ten bucks...works or it does not. Well...it worked....as soon as I put them on....gone...GONE. Wish I would have tried them sooner but was not wanting to try yet another thing that did not quite do the job. May not work for for everyone and everyone may not like that dampening since this all a very personal thing. My drums are not your drums..my ears are not the same as yours...etc etc. But...these DO make a noticeable difference. May or may not be what a person may want but these do work. I was not expecting a simple mylar ring to make such a difference. Some difference sure...it has to but not, for me, to eliminate a very annoying issue. So bottom line...for ten bucks they make a noticeable difference. May or may not be the effect any one person wants, that’s the gamble but for a ten spot...it’s worth it.
