A Decent Clock With A Defect & A Huge Feature Missing
After an old LaCrosse projection clock that alternated between time & outdoor temp died, I went on another search for the perfect time/outdoor temperature projection clock. It's a little like trying to find an electronic unicorn, but this model seemed to come the closest to my "ideal clock". For the most part it's been a good experience except it never auto-sets DST & the display can only be flipped, not turned 90 degrees like my LaCrosse.Still, it's the best thing I've found out there for my particular needs. If the DST would work & the projection could be turned in 90 degree increments I'd have to give this clock a FULL FIVE STARS. I knocked 1 star off for each of those 2 perceived shortcomings. Well, technically, the DST function not working is a defect in my unit since it's advertised as auto-setting AND I have said feature turned on. Even so, it's failed the last 2 time changes so I think it's safe to say it's broken.-The Good:-The projection display is just bright enough to see in the day without being blinding in the dark.-The projection color is red, which is supposedly easier on the eyes in the dark.-The projected numbers are fairly large, especially if you have high ceilings, making it easy to read w/o glasses.-Sets the time automatically. The Cool But Needless:-You can change the color of the display on the clock itself, but not the projection.-"Predicts" the weather by measuring barometric pressure changes.-USB charging port. The Ugly:-The "automatic" Daylight Saving Time mode does not seem to work. I have to change it manually every time change.-Ugliest Award for Biggest Missed Feature: The projection display can be flipped, but not turned 90 degrees. This is horribly inconvenient when placed on a bedside table because the projection is turned 90 degrees from your vision unless you turn the clock so you can't see its face, which makes the clock itself a little useless.-OVERPRICED: at $36 it's really overpriced, but I can't find another company that makes one with the same features. LaCrosse isn't really doing much for me these days.

projection fixed; remote sensor fail
Initially worked fine, after 1 week remote sensor signal lost. Other reviews are correct: projection orientation is fixed and incorrect: the only way to read it on the ceiling is across the room facing you - so...it can't be used as an alarm clock; have another projection clock and its orientation can be rotated 4 x...this one cannot

Love it except BOTH I purchased have a defective charging port!
I purchased 2 and both charging ports are broken. The entire clock flashes when trying to charge a phone. I love everything else about this but hate that this feature is broke in both. Especially since that was one of the main reasons I chose this one.
