Both products use an ultra sonic cleaning method to vibrate the mono filaments in the brush head to vibrate dental plaque away. The difference in my view is that the oral B uses a stiffer fibre and more importantly, which the ultra sonic level is lower, the oral b incorporates mechanical cleaning as well. In this regard I have tested this Bruch and handle using dental disclosing tablets, which strain the translucent dental plaque to make it more obvious. I found that the Philips brush and head to be effective, but not as effective as the equivalent oral b product.So why did I purchase this brush?
