This is a blanket with a difference. It has a number of small weights inside it to give a heavier feel. This allows it to dive that comforting feeling of being under a heavy duvet / blanket without it being really warm. This is great for those with ASD or just enjoy the feeling of being under a ‘heavy’ blanket.Quality wise the item seems really good. It arrived in a ‘velvet’ bag, which is great for storing and transporting as well as being rather nice if you are giving the item as a gift. Inside is the blanket itself and the dust cover. The dust cover has a lovely soft and silky finish to it and is washable up to temperature of 35C. We have washed it using a 30C setting and had no issues.The blanket also appears very well made. The stitching of the layers is done well and we have found no loose threads. It also comes with a lifetime guarantee, always an encouraging sign that the manufacturer believes the item will last.

This, for us, does exactly what it's supposed to - provide a heavy weighted wrap around feeling to promote sleep. We fell asleep quicker, slept deeper and resumed sleep quickly if we awoke. The weight stayed evenly distributed, the grey bamboo material was smooth and comfortable.However, after a coupl of weeks we decided it was actually too heavy and even though it was the largest they offer, it wasn't large enough to cover both of us and fall over the edge of the bed. As a consequence it always ended up in a pile in between us.Summary, great quality and it works. The 12kg weight was too much for us, we would have preferred 9kg option i think. Also perhaps with a 6ft wide bed, we shoul have gone for 2 smaller blankets - one each.

Tried out this weighted blanket for the first time - I usually have a poor sleep pattern and thought it might help. Did lots of research as I also don't sleep well when I get too hot. I also wanted a weighted blanket that would work on a UK king sized bed and one for couples. Ended up with this blanket as it ticked those boxes and also was what I could get easily in the UK.Pros:Came with it's own washable cover and a very 80s velour bag to put everything in.Cover is made of bamboo - does appear to be less heat trapping than other materials.Definitely weighted adequately as per their advice and did give that enclosed feeling (11kg, 200 x 220cm - recommended for couples, our combined weight around 120 - 130kg).Generally less movement (harder to move...)The size recommended for couples covers a king sized bed with enough draping over all sides - your feet will definitely not get exposed.Cons:Doesn't seem to work for couples - don't think specific to this brand but in general. Lots of fighting about who dumped blanket on who, or trapped it in between and or rolled it over and managed to accidentally suffocate the other person. Reduced ability to move = more husband sleeping on back = more snoring. Sleep was generally as disrupted as before after trying for 10 nights or so.Feet get hot and hard to get them out!Product info said actual blanket made with glass beads and cotton cover - the label said there's polyester and glass so unsure if the weighted aspect is just glass beads (which is what I wanted) or a mix of polyester and glass (didn't want this).Bamboo cover crinkles easily (minor issue).It's a real shame as I really hoped that this might help with my sleeping issues. Contemplating buying the normal king sized one (which won't drape too much over the sides) and trying that for just myself but not really keen on sleeping alone. Other reviews have said about it making existing pains worse - this didn't happen with me. Returned for all the reasons above. Returns process via Amazon easy and efficient.

Heavy to shake and put straight. Did think it would be like a double size blanket more like a generous single.

My son struggles with sleep , this blanket , he says feels like he is being hugged .Its heavy , im 9 stone and folding or removing the cover to wash is a two man job , or a great workout solo .Really great quality and super soft to touch , and not too hot despite the weight

A really well made product. It looks good and the removable machine washable cover is great. It has had great results for helping my son sleep. He can get to sleep more quickly and sleeps more soundly. Worth the investment in my opinion.

I've heard about these weighted blankets before and how they are good for anxiety and SEN. I suffer with anxiety myself and have done since I was around 13 and I wish that I tried something like this sooner. Sometimes I find it hard to relax at the end of the day and this blanket helped me to settle down and enjoy my evenings.These blankets are very heavy when receiving them, I was so surprised when it got delivered. The quality on this blanket is next to none, and the fact that it comes in a lovely velvet storage bag is a bonus as I know its stored properly.Myself and my children have used this blanket together and the children describe it as having a big hug. Obviously you don't want to really use this in the hot weather but in the cooler days we've found it perfect over the sofa so we can all snuggle underneath it.The blanket folds easily back into the storage bag which is a relief as we have had many blankets that are near impossible to get back into the storage bags.I would recommend this item 👍

Si tienes problemas para conciliar el sueño, es una solución bastante efectiva. No sé cómo pero por el peso relaja. No abulta nada, en cómo una manta finita. Viene con la funda en el mismo color y el maletín como "terciopelo" para transportarla.Se nota la calidad porque viene con unos enganches, en realidad son cordones, para que no se mueva la manta de su funda. No hay que estar colocándola bien dentro de la funda.Es la mejor compra que he hecho en mucho tiempo, desde que la tengo descanso mucho mejor. El precio es elevado pero por la calidad que tiene creo que merece la pena invertir algo más.

Ich bin nach der ersten Nacht sehr zufrieden! Im Ganzen fühlt sich die Decke sehr schwer, wenn man unter ihr liegt, verteilt sich das Gewicht sehr angenehm!

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,in der Nacht wache ich oft auf. Manchmal schlafe ich dann leider überhaupt nicht mehr ein und der Schlaf ist dahin. Aus diesem Grund suchte ich nach Lösungen, damit ich mich morgens wieder ausgeschlafen fühle. Als ich im Fernsehen sah, dass eine "schwere" Decke einen ruhiger schlafen lassen sollte, habe ich gedacht, dass es Humbug ist. Nun habe ich ein paar Wochen mit der neuen Decke hinter mir und habe das Gefühl, dass ich mich im Schlaf nun kaum bewege und besser schlafe.Was das Gewicht anbelangt, muss ich sagen, dass man das Gewicht nicht spürt (es sei denn, man muss den Bezug wechseln). Wenn man darunter schläft, fühlt es sich angenehm an. Quasi, als würde man die ganze Nacht umarmt werden. Leider können meine Haustiere nun nicht mehr alleine unter dieser Decke liegen. Das Gewicht einer Gewichtsdecke sollte so ca. 10% des eigenen Körpergewichts betragen, ansonsten wird man wohl erdrückt oder es fühlt sich unangenehm an. Tiere haben ja meist nur 1/3 bis 2/3 des Gewichts der Decke.Aus meiner Sicht hat sich die Investition gelohnt. Geliefert wurde mir die Decke in einer Aufbewahrungstasche und die Decke hatte einen eigenen Bezug mit dabei.

Sommeil de plomb depuis que je l’utilise, je me sent moins stressée au levée et moi qui suis super tendue du dos dès que je me glisse dedans je sent un relâchement totale de tout mon corps c’est super agréable, je m’endort plus vite aussi. J’ai beaucoup hésitee vu le prix et je regrette pas. La qualité du tissus y fait beaucoup aussi, j’avais mis un draps en coton pour la tester sans la salir la première fois et j’ai eu l’impression d’étouffer. J’ai essayée sans Le drap ensuite et là douceur de la housse fait que quand on bouge la couhette ne « s’enroule » pas autour de moi jusqu’à me « bloquer » comme ça avais était le cas (car vu le poid ça deviens vite gênant) le pyjama et la peau glisse dessus du coup rien ne bouge! En plus ça garde à température idéal sans faire transpirer, ni froid non plus. En ce qui sagis de la qualité, les tissus en fibre de bambou tiennent très bien dans le temps pour avoir déjà d’autres affaires fait avec. J’ai du coup otpee pour celle ci qui avais la housse incluse contrairement à d’autre, avec une différence de prix pas si énorme (même pas 20 euros ) quand j’ai voulu prendre une couverture « moins cher » avec la housse à part. Donc voilà tout ça pour dire : très contente de mon achat et aucun regret!Ps: j’ai beaucoup d’insomnies depuis très longtemps, un sommeil agité du mal à m’endormir, et cette couhette m’as était conseillée dans le cadre de mon suivie pour mon TDAH.

Had problems getting to sleep and getting back to sleep in the middle of the night. Decided to try a weighted blanket to see if it would help and it has! So, I got mine a week ago and the first few nights were tough gotta admit, the weight (I opted to go for 10% of my body weight) on top of me was an adjustment. By 3rd night I went to sleep with it on, fell asleep much faster as in not staring at the ceiling for an hour, or even 15min. but I was waking up about an hour before my alarm to find I kicked it off during the night so I pulled it back on and fell right back to sleep. Just woke up from my 7th night using it to find the blanket still on me, did not wake up in the middle of the night and actually slept in + felt refreshed! Still early days but this does seem to be helping me change my sleeping pattern. Would recommend trying this to see if it helps you improve your sleep.Now for the blanket itself. I ordered this one because it came with the blanket cover. So many of these sell separately and you have to figure out what fits with what. No issues/concerns with the quality. blanket and cover fit and finish were fine. Heat retention, I'm a hot sleeper so I tend to sleep with just a sheet and was worried this blanket would cause me to sweat etc. No issues there. It has kept me comfortable and not retained excessive heat. Can't wait to see how this performs in summer months.
