Maisy's Birthday

Ahh yes, another Maisy vhs favorite of my 2.5 yr old. "Watch the birthday cake one?" gets requested often. Our other favorite Maisy vhs's are: Maisy Springtime; Maisy Bedtime & Maisy Winter Fun. We just began collecting some of the books as well and they are so treasured before bed. Thank goodness for Maisy, sweet & cute & perfect for toddlers...and parents.

the producers of this series have reached a state of zen-like perfection. The measured tones of the narrator, the chirping of the little creatures, and the bold colors are PERFECT. When you compare the way that Disney butchered Spot, you will really appreciate these Maisy viceos. These are made for children, and children love them. Whole heartedly recommended.

My daughter received Maisy's Birthday video for her second birthday and watches it just about everyday. She is mesmirized by Maisy and her little friends. Often I find her mimicking eveything they do. Maisy has a tea party for her play animals and they have tea and cookies. Madison comes looking for cookies for all her babies everytime she watches. If we haven't watch the video she will bring it to me and says, "Need Maisy". Madison has learned so many new words and concepts already off of this video and other Maisy videos. Two Thumbs Up!

小さいお子さんにオススメ！我が家の2歳の娘はもうテープが擦り切れるのでは？というくらい観ています。最近では0歳11ヶ月の息子も一生懸命観ています。楽しい音楽、子供が好きそうなきれいな色使い、登場人物たち（動物たち）の単純で楽しそうな会話、すべて我が家の子供たちを夢中にさせているようです。我が家の娘はメイシーの”ＨＡＰＰＹ　ＢＩＲＴＨＤＡＹ”の絵本（洋書の方）も持っているのでビデオと共に見て何度も繰り返し遊んでいます。

メイシーのビデオは、これを最初に買いました。このシリーズの好きな所は、「嫌なやつ」が出てこない所です。現実はそうは行かないかもしれませんが、この世界はみんな仲良しで、いつも笑顔が絶えません。バースデーパーティーでチャーリーはお腹が空いていて、先に食べてしまいますが、それでも笑って自分の物を分けてあげるメイシーの寛大さはお～～！です。５分間のお話の最後は、必ずと言って良いほど笑顔で終わるので、嫌な気分になることがありません。赤ちゃんに見せてあげる時は、明るい色合いが多いので、少々暗めにしてあげた方が目が疲れなくて良いのではと思います。
