Modula MOCS0075-0573a Aluminium Black Roof Bar Set (Closed Roof Rails)

... on top of a Peugeot 3008 (18 reg.). Please note that, as advertised, these bars will fit only the 'closed rail' type - if you're not sure what this means, have a look at the pictures on the Amazon selling page and all will become clear.They appear to do the job for which they were intended just fine. However, I have dropped a star for the following reasons. Firstly, and more importantly, the instructions that came in the box that I received were written in Italian and German ONLY. This is not too much of a problem as there are pictures but - and this is certainly worth noting - one of the pictures shows a clockwise arrow for threading one of the fittings onto one of the bolts (you will know which I mean when you receive it). Now, ordinarily this wouldn't be an issue as it would be correct: however, you will spend a very long time indeed (as I did) trying to screw the darn thing on as this particular item NEEDS THREADING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION !! How on Earth they managed to get this essential part wrong I cannot imagine.Secondly, the 'anti-theft' fittings covers are just very cheap plastic and can easily be pulled off BY HAND - I assure you that no tools would be needed ! However, this is really not that important because in order to remove the bars themselves one would require the appropriate Allen key - and, let's face it, how often do you think thieves go around trying to unscrew roof bars ? Having said this, if security is important to you then you would be better off with a different product.I used mine for transporting items in a roof bag and not a roof box but either fits fine, I am certain. The bars themselves seem sufficiently strong and I do not foresee an issue with longevity. Also, having now removed them after a few days, I can confirm that they have not marked the roof rails at all.All in all, I don't think that the price is unreasonable for what they are and I couldn't find that many on Amazon that were specifically for the closed rail system !If anything happens to prompt the changing of my rating I shall update my review accordingly ...FV
