MALOUFZ Shredded Gel Infused Memory Foam Pillow - Queen, White

I'm 40 years old and have a couple of bulged discs in my neck from an accident several years ago. I'm a side, back and stomach sleeper so trying to find a pillow that doesn't go flat as a pancake and provides adequate support for me in every position is like finding a needle in a haystack! I had been sleeping with an adjustable gelled microfiber pillow from Malouf for the past couple of years and it was the best pillow ever! Sadly it was time to replace it. The exact Malouf pillow I used to have isn't available anymore, so I purchased this gelled memory foam one instead. First of all, the sizing is a little odd. It's skinnier than a standard queen size. Which is fine, but doesn't fill up my pillowcase. Secondly, it's not quite so "adjustable." It takes all my arm strength to create enough of an indention to provide some head support, but if I move even a single inch, it springs back and it doesn't compress much. As you can see in the photo with 10lbs of weight on it. It's great to find a pillow that's actually thick and firm, but I think maybe it's a bit TOO thick and firm for me. I've slept on this pillow for the last two nights and my sleep was incredibly restless and I've woken up the last couple of mornings with a lot of pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Maybe I need time to acclimate to it, maybe it will reasonably soften just a little over time so that my head isn't cocked up at weird angles, I don't know. If it doesn't develop some give and adjustability soon though, I'll be on the hunt for a different pillow because I don't think I can go many more nights feeling restless and uncomfortable.

Once I got through the barely taped box with several large holes, was the beautiful sight of my Malouf Z shredded gel pillow. It comes with its own sturdy, plastic, carry case with a handle. The loft is about 5" out of the packaging. I didnt need tine to adjust, but for some, 1 week should make or break your experience.I tried the Malouf Z shredded gel pillow out while mattress shopping. I also tried the Malouf dough pillow. The shredded gel has a lot more give, but they are both comfortable.The mattress store wanted $85 for the shredded gel and $120 for the dough pillow. I think not! The pillow is cool and keeps my head and neck cool. It's a blessing for my shoulders since is molds easily. I will be purchasing 2 more.Amazon seems to have gotten far too big for their britches. The first pillow never arrived w/ 1 day Prime shipping. The second pillow (replacement) took another 5 days, but only after I had to wait 2 more days to replace it. I couldn't get a tracking # for the replacement until the day of shipping. I did receive 2, $10 credits for the hassle. Amazon needs to do A MUCH BETTER JOB of COMMUNICATING.

The best thing about this pillow is the depth, as I found it to be very firm and supportive. So many foam travel pillows are too soft and/or too thin and flat once any weight is put on them. The size is good for travel, although it is a little bulky, but it worked out fine in my checked bag. I wasn't sure about the shredded foam but it's not lumpy or apparent when you're using it that the foam is shredded. I bought a zip-on cotton travel pillow cover at a chain store and that fit great, as I don't always want to use the plus covering. Happy with the pillow and glad I have it!

1) Preferences for pillows are highly personal; 2) It's best if one understands one's spine and frame, especially if ordering a pillow without having tried it; 3) I bought the travel-size pillow here and couldn't be more happy with it. I rolled it up, secured it with a Velcro blanket band, and included it in my carry-on to Europe. I bought it specifically because I was able to fly business class and wanted a pillow for lying down. It fit my needs perfectly: The right kind of support for my c-spine, which has a fusion and bulging discs; decent loft for sleeping on my side; soft, luxurious cover; recovers from being compressed; great price; and, by virtue of not noticing it get hot or uncomfortable, it stays cool. I continued to use it at my friends' flat; in a hotel; and in an Airbnb in Paris. Since I've returned home, I'm now using it as an extra pillow in my bed.

I purchase this item for my husband, we went from a queen to a king size bed. We purchased almost the identical pillows from Sams club in queen size ( 2) for half the price and we both like them very much because the memory foam is shreddered and much mor comfortable then just the solid one. My husband wanted a king size, so this is the one we purchase. He loves it and said it's more comfortable. This is a very large pillow and heavy but works great for him.

Just goes to show you, you don't need to spend a small fortune to get a decent pillow. 2 yrs ago, I was having neck and shoulder pain. My doctor suggested I switch to a "firm" pillow. I wanted a good one. So after looking for a while, I chose a Ralph Lauren at Macy's. It worked well for the first few months but soon, it would sag and I found myself tossing and turning all night. I had bought a Z travel pillow and I loved it and I said to my husband, "if I could have this in a king size, I would love it" He said, "did you look to see if they made one?" I admit, I hadn't. So, I looked and there it was! I couldn't wait to try it. I've used it for 2 nights now and no tossing, no turning and it's amazing that a pillow can be the difference between not sleeping and getting a decent nights sleep. I recommend this pillow.

I ordered this pillow last year and loved it I've had a spine fusion and tried a lot of pillows this one was perfect my daughter has bad migraine headaches and she tried my pillow her headaches stop so this is my SECOND ONE. she took my pillow 😑this is the 3ed one I have brought everyone that lays on it has to have one. It's really helped my granddaughters headaches and relaxes her muscles in her neck. I'm not going to let anybody else lay on mine so I don't have to buy anymore ☺☺☺

I've traveled with this pillow all over the world. Although it takes up about 20% of my carry-on baggage, it is so worthwhile. I used to have terrible sleeps in hotels because the pillows are never firm enough. At home I have a posturepedic high density memory foam pillow. Because of a shoulder injury, I need the extra support for my neck and shoulder especially when I lay on my side. This little pillow is like a mini version of the one I have at home. It provides me with the support I need and has prevented numerous headaches due to neck and shoulder pain.

I wish I had discovered these pillows a long time ago.I'm a side sleeper, so it's often difficult to find a pillow with enough support for your neck but not so high that you wind up sleeping at an odd angle.These pillows are pliable because their insides are made of a moldable gel shredded foam. Which means you can adjust the loft and support simply by physically moving the pillow's shape to your desired preference.The king size is really king sized though. You have to use two pillow cases to fully cover it if you don't have the customized king size pillow case.These may cost a bit more, but it really is a goldilocks situation. Too hard, too soft, just right.And these pillows are just right.

I won't invest much time writing review of this useless product. I'd just sum-up this product as it's no way near to the level of comfort one would expect reading the product description. One can't feel even an ounce of "gel" in this pillow. Seems a regular pillow. To add, its much smaller than a regular size pillow and the height of this pillow is so much that one would definitely have a severe neck pain, hence I won't ever recommend this product to one who already have such pain.For me.. it's not worth paying for. Go for a good gel pillow if you are really looking for one..

Unfortunately this pillow was not what I expected. I thought that the thickness would be good but safely it was too high because the pillow did not have the memory foam give that I was hoping for. Instead I found the pillow very hard with very little give that didn’t even soften with my body temperature. I woke up with headaches. Perhaps it was not the right pillow for me.

I found this pillow did not keep its support for the entire night. It was great when I went to bed; however, as the night progresses it depresses and causes me neck and shoulder pain. Not the pillow for me.
