Uses far less power than I budgeted for
I purchased a box of 12 volt DC light bulbs and an SLA1097 battery with the intention to light up my shed without having to run power to it. Total cost of the project was about $50 and it works just as well as I had hoped. The brightness of the bulb doesn't seem to match the 630Lm advertised claim, 350Lm would be a bit more believable. One bulb is definitely bright enough to read by, so I am not too disappointed. I suspect if I was supplying something closer to 15-18 volts instead of 12-13 volts the bulb would be a bit brighter. I really didn't expect too much out of a single 12 volt light bulb powered by a SLA1097 battery though. My biggest requirement when buying the parts for this project was that I be able to power one light bulb for 2+ hours by battery and I can definitely do that. The power draw is just under .5Ah per bulb so I have more than enough power in case I ever want to add additional light fixtures in the shed to make it brighter. At a cost of ~$2 per each light fixture, I might just go ahead and add another fixture or two and just not screw in the extra light bulbs until I absolutely need them.2020-02-12 update: I purchased a 18v 3A power supply and the brightness of the bulb is much brighter. The 630Lm claim is probably correct.

Works Great Super White and BrighT! Low Voltage Sockets only!
Was wondering why any light bulb wouldn't work in the socket.. I guess prior owners put in low voltage only on the outdoor lights, so finally figured it out that had to buy these in order to work. Works Great!

great 12 volt DC solution
I used these to make an automatic emergency lighting system (when AC power fails) with just an old relay and a small lead-acid battery.

Perfect for Off grid 12 Volt systems, these bulbs put out the same light the 110 AC bulbs do.
This set of 12 Volt Bulbs fit the Standard E27 sockets but make surer you understand they use 12 Volts DC. If you put these bulbs in your ceiling fan, like one reviewer, they will pop out instantly. I use these in my Off grid home that is wired for 12 volts. They offer the same brightness as regular 110 AC Bulbs so I'm very happy. No need for a power hungry power inverter to light the way. LEDs have a very long life so you should get 10 or more years out of each bulb.

Great Bulb!
This is a low-voltage bulb that uses a standard E26 base. I converted some exterior landscape lights to low voltage and these work great. I previously tried a competitive brand but the lifespan was less than 2 years. These also had a very small bulb whereas these more resemble a typical 60W incandescent bulb in look and feel. They are bright with a pleasant warm light that works well with our outdoor setting.

Great for RV
I replaced the rv sconces with 110 sconces by changing the bulb to 12v I didnt have to spend extra for a 12v fixture
