A very good basic guide;easy to follow clearly written instructions. A definite aid to improving your ability to more effectively utilize the many tools of PhotoShop.

Bought for the wife who wanted to start using Photoshop. As a commercial photographer, I know photoshop upside-down and inside-out. I thought this would be the perfect book for her and I was right.

Too much to learn, can't find my glasses. Light is to dim, what I'm confused. guess I go read it again.

I really like this book. I had bought others and could not understand how to do some things I wanted to do in Photoshop and then I found that this book made it easy and straightforward. You will need a more comprehensive book, but this one is great for understanding the more complicated books on the subject. I recommend it.

I have used the previous CS3 version of this book and found it to be thorough, simply laid out, and very easy to use. Importantly, the binding allowed it to remain open at the page without having to fight it - a great benefit if working at the computer at the same time. If you have something you want to do specifically then it helps greatly in speedily showing the buttons to press. If you only want to know what is possible with CS... then it is also rather good - There is a list of possibilities at the front. Colourful, well laid out, memorable book. Recommended!

This book is a book I would definitely recommend for beginners to Photoshop (not just CS4).If you are new to Photoshop and don't know the basics, but want to do some simple manipulations and editing in a short period of time, this book will act as a great guide. If you are more advanced with Photoshop, or even find yourself comfortable with the tool set, this book is probably not the book you are looking for. You are looking for something more like  Adobe Photoshop CS4 Classroom in a Book Although very visual, the book is very basic and straightforward; perfect for the new-comers to Photoshop. Je connaissais cet excellent ouvrage en PDF mais je voulais la version papier, plus agréable à manipuler; donc pas de surprise au niveau du contenu. Quant à l'état du livre: il est neuf.Donc je suis très satisfait du vendeur. La seule chose négative c'est le coût du port qui est plus élevé que le prix du livre.
