Like Mother, Like Daughter (A Discovery Journal for the Two of Us) Diary – February 22, 2015

An ideal birthday gift for an 11 year old who is Moma's mini-me! The daughter loves interviewing everyone in her daily play! And we made Moma cry!!! The journal is beautiful... thank you so much!

I bought 2 of these journals for both of my girls, this one and another type for the other daughter. That way they aren’t the same and they feel a little more special. This one is by far my favorite it has a lot of personal questions that I think help you to learn more about each other. It is in an a great format and really guides the way for you. So many times it can be hard to figure out how to speak with your kids, I have never had this issue, but nevertheless it hasn’t really allowed us to open up in a safe environment for her. I would recommend this a million times for anyone with a daughter.

I bought this for myself and my adult daughter I had been separated from through her teen years. There is a lot of good pages to just get to know each other. I especially loved the this or that section as were getting to really find out each others likes and dislikes. I lived that there is a page for future plans for birthdays and holidays. We've decided to do random pages and mark them so each other can know which pages we chose and we can pass the book back and forth at our leisure. Of all the things I've purchased on Amazon poverty the years and trust me it's been a lot this will be my best buy yet. Perfect for daughters young and old!

I liked it but I returned it. There were too many prompts and no 'free space' for open dialogue which is why I purchased a journal in the first place. I have 3 girls, two teens and a 4th grader. I originally purchased 'Just Between Us' for my oldest and myself. She LOVED it and it's a great way to get me to open up as well as her about things we otherwise wouldn't think of sharing. So I wanted to get the same type of journals for my other two, but not the same exact book mainly so they wouldn't get mixed up. However, there are a lot of interesting prompts to get conversations started and to learn about one another, but the main reason I'm getting these journals is to get them talking, to get us talking in an organic free flowing way which was not an option in this journal. Otherwise, this journal is made very well with a hardcover and durable pages. Very cute and very well worth the price. If you are looking for a very structured journal than this would be a perfect choice.

This is truly the perfect mother daughter book. We enjoy doing it together and sometimes we'll write something separately and leave it out for the other to read. It makes my day to have a page or two to read before work that my daughter has written.The book is between a hard and soft cover. Very well made.We like that there are two ribbons so we can mark the spot we each left off at or want to go to next.It's perfect for a 10 year old and mom to as high as any age really. My daughter is 22 and we are having so much fun. Even the simplest questions provoked many, many conversations.You won't be disappointed!

My daughter and I are thoroughly enjoying this book. The hardcover is beautiful and the writing prompts are well thought out. My daughter was very excited to start this book. We both love this journal and would highly recommend it.

Bought this journal as a Mother's Day present for myself to share with my teenage daughter.Blessed that we have an amazing relationship and wanted to find a way to stay connected during this busytime of her life. We opened the book together and she squealed! : ) We have picked 2 different colored pensfor each of us to write in it and 2 places for each of us to "drop off" the book when it's the other person's turn.Looking forward to discovering each other's thoughts that will ultimately bring about great conversations together.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this journal without the "look inside" option available. I ordered it for my 8 yr old niece and was so pleased. The journal is lovely! It has nice thick pages, pretty graphics, and cute questions. My niece and sister in law both loved it. I immediately ordered another as a gift for friend's daughter.

Love this book!!! Comes with questions that can be answered by both myself and daughter. Gives us time to learn more about each other!! Love

The most beautiful book ever!

I recently bought this for my daughter (10) and I to do together every day and we both love it. It encourages spending time together, discussion and sharing things about ourselves that we might not otherwise think of sharing with each other during an average day. We're learning a lot about each other! My son (8) has seen it and wants to do one with me too but there is no version of this for mothers and sons. I've looked for similar journals for sons, but can only find two and unfortunately neither look as good as this one! This would make a great gift too - I'm thinking of buying for my sister and nieces for Christmas!

Loved this book for my younger daughter, great prompts to keep the journal flowing. She loves it! Beautiful way to bond.
