With a little DIY, this is just about perfect for timing smaller running / bike races
I'm a full time race director, so the finish line clock is important. Our Raceclock MM-01 clock became damaged, but repair parts cost 2x the price of this, so I thought I would give this a try. Loaded with features, it's far more flexible than the MM-01: It has count up, count down, time of day clock, stopwatch, multiple colors, adjustible brightness, beeper, remote control & bluetooth app, tripod, two chargers and two remotes included, plus a wire to hook.Disadvantages: No battery included, not water resistant, and in sunlight it was hard to read - BUT I found an easy fix for most of those issues:-I had an extra 12v battery on hand, and tinkered with the charging cable so I can plug it in the wall and charge my battery at the same time for later situations when it needs to run on battery power.-The LED bulbs are made with white material, so they really show up when it's bright outside, and make it hard to read the digits... so I put on some left-over vehicle window tint (mine was 20% VLT film from Walmart, but I'd think 35% would work as well, maybe better). This solved the readability issue quite nicely!-Water resistance yet to be tested but I will put a clear plastic bag over it in wet weather, and put the battery in a cheap plastic toolbox.(I have not yet tried the bluetooth app, nor have I used it long enough to vouch for durability)If this company would build it weather resistant and change the LED bulbs to a black material, keeping cost close to what it is now, this clock would be just about perfect for anyone timing smaller races.

Exactly as described
We use this for local club cross country runs.It provides an easy to see timer for handicap races and gives runners a visual time as they approach the finish or each lap.A bonus was the recycling countdown timer which is great for training on the Athletics track as it can be seen from over 50m away and provides a perfect guide.Having the range of colours is great as it can be set according to sunlight and address needs for people with some sight impairment. It was very easy to purchase a battery locally and some portable weights which stabilise the tripod in wind.

Good timing clock, just be aware...
The problem is that the power adaptor that they ship with it is not strong enough to power all of the colors, only red, green, or blue. If you try any of the other 4 colors it causes it to restart repeatedly. The instruction sheet that ships with it even states that in order to use those 4 other colors you need to hook it up to a battery because the power adaptor is not strong enough... If they would notate that in the description that would satisfy my issue with it.Other than that, the clock seems great so far. I had a problem with the mount to the tripod, but the seller responded quickly and sent replacement parts within a week, even sent an extra part for good measure.

things like start, edit
so far after 1 weekend it worked well. my issue is with the remote. it seems as if the location of the buttons to perform specific functions are not well organized. things like start, edit, select, are scattered across the remote that has many many buttons. It will take constant use of the remote to get a handle on where everything is without leaning heavy on the paper instructions provided.

I bought five and they work well for price
They really work well for price point. All colors work fine for me. I like the button for a sure start.

Bought this because of damage packaging but the product is damaged
It said the packaging was damaged. But the clock is damaged and the parts are not all in there. I should have purchased a new one. I’m really disappointed.

Great buy!
Works great! Only down side is you need you stand slightly to the side to see the time. You can't see it if you are straight on. Stores great too!
