Zipper repair kit
Purchased this after spending a lot of money having zippers repaired, thought this would be cheaper. Is not quite as easy as it shows. However, we did figure it out. Main thing is finding the correct size for your garment. We fixed one item the other didn't have the correct zipper size & ended up taking it for repairs. Glad to have on hand, however wish the zippers had more common sizes.

Don't have to run to the store every time.
Makes the work much easier.

Not the best but did the job
The zippers feel kinda cheap and flimsy. Also they didn’t line up well with the 5s as they should. But I was able to repair two hoodies that have zippers and I have never done anything like that before so they worked well enough for a beginner I guess.

they look very thin and not many sizes about 5 only
it only has five different sizes, two of those I have never seen on any item because one is too small and the other too big. the other three sizes are great as they look like every other size sipper plus they come in two different colors, and one size come with back and front tab, i think it would be great for female clothing but will not recommend for jeans or heavy use material. my low rating is because they are not easy to install as they require tools, and it will deform the zipper or break. also it did not have the size i needed and the closes one is just micro milometer to small

Worked for both zippers needing repair
Two metal zippers needed repair -- a 36" and a more challenging 18" in a shoulder bag where both ends were covered with over-sewn fabric. Both had dual pulls.Watched some videos to learn how to do this. Then, replacing one broken pull tab on the 36" zipper was easy -- remove the top-end stop/blocker, fit the correct pull tab, install a new blocker. The 18" was more challenging -- to avoid ripping the oversewing, removed ~4 top teeth from both sides, installed a tab, and then added stops to both sides. The zipper ended up with about 1/2" less 'run', but works fine. Two items were thus salvaged and are useful again. This kit works with METAL zippers, not plastic ones. The kit came with a variety of replacement parts for different zipper sizes. Some manufacturers may label the sizes of what they installed on their products; neither of the ones I worked on included sizing, so it was 'test to fit'. The two pliers included with the kit were of surprisingly good quality, actually better than those in a mini-plier assortment already owned.

Recycling what once was lost
I had several favorite clothes that I believed were lost due to broken zippers. This product saved me from hunting down to replace them by letting me repair the zipper on two sweatshirts, sleeping bag and a jean. No more snitchin' zipper stories.

Skip this one
I would avoid this - not worth the time/money.There's no instructions. The case is nice in concept, but the bags the items come in are not reusable so it's not useful. The tools that come with it pretty low quality. The zippers themselves seem flimsy. There are no box stops (the bottom of the zipper) - my fault for not noticing 197pc zipper repair kit would not include all the pieces to actually repair a zipper.

Not what was shown in the photo and had been obviously previously opened
When this was delivered by Amazon, the original Amazon white plastic bag had one entire side folded over and taped with clear cellophane tape and I immediately had my doubts. Upon carefully opening the taped-over portion I found that the inner clear plastic bag holding the black zipper case had also been opened and re-sealed with more clear plastic tape. A number of the zippers were loose and those that were still in bags looked as thought they had also been opened, items removed and then re-sealed. Additionally, there was a small quantity of white granules (about the size and consistence of dry powdered laundry detergent sprinkled over the black zip case as well as inside the case. There was a noticeable odor of detergent ofer the whole package.I put on a pair of latex gloves and shook out the powder and rinsed down the case with isopropyl alcohol. The entire case has a definite "soapy" feel and smell to it.Of the total of 197 advertised included pieces approximately 50 have been removed. Both small pliers were there but it's obvious that a previous recipient had opened the package, removed a number of items then re-sealed the inner package & returned it.The seller has been contacted about the situation but has yet to return my message.Considering that this was purchased as a rather easy and inexpensive fix to a couple of zipper problems, to say that I'm disappointed misses the mark by a long shot.
