Before you buy this item you should be aware that the cam Pivot Point is nothing more then a small roll pin configured in what is technically known as double bearing shear.Which means this item if tightened even moderately, there is a significant risk that the pin will fail, and that the item and anything attached to it, will simply fall off the weapon.

These style no matter how tight you make it after about 50 rounds you better watch out. Went to sight the rifle in and the scope fell off. Was sighted in after 8 rounds and then proceeded to run another 40+ rounds. Scope literally fell of and dented the sun guard. Very upsetting to have a scratched up scope. Then used the second one that came in this pair thinking the first was just defective. Almost exactly the same result but I was prepared this time and as it started to loosen up I removed it.The purpose was to run iron sights and a scope. Needed up going with 45 degree of set iron sights and mounted the scope directly.

Cam levers collapse when tensioning. The material is very soft. These may be good enough for an accessory but they are not good enough for critical items such as a sight/scope. I resurfaced the angle of the cam but couldn’t get it to lock in with sufficient tension after removing. When changing the angle of attack the corners would round off after a few times of connecting/disconnecting.

While this is great for items that are to be consistently taken on and off of a firearm, it is not going to be good if you are wanting something that you can take on and off after several hundred rounds. The potential recoil of the firearm may cause the latch to loosen during use. If these mounts are used on a sight or scope of any kind, you will find that your aim will be all over the place. If you are using them to mount lights or cameras on your firearm, then you will probably be just fine. For something that you need to be secure and not move during extended use, get regular mounts and not these quick release.

I would NOT use these for precision optics or high load/torque items like a bipod, but they're great for what I use them for, namely to mount a red dot sight and Kestrel weather meter to my spotting scope.These mounts would be a good start to anything you'd want to mount to a picatinny or weaver rail, that doesn't need high reproducability or where it shifty slightly is not of a concern. The mount is well enough made to give me confidence it won't fail or fall off, but not enough that my optic will remount precisely or not shift during shooting.

This is a very good deal. Two for basically the price of one when compared to other offers on Amazon. The rail risers are sturdy. The quick release lever can be tightened and loosened to make sure the riser is firmly attached or easy to remove if stuck. I would recommend this offer to my friends.

It's a good QD, I put on my S&W - MP15 Sport II (5.56/0.223) with no issue.It will work very well, only you know how to ADJUST it (to the "right/correct" TENSION ... about 25-30-Degree, before you snap the lever). Don't over-tight the lock screw !!! Or, you will need a new one. Yeah, that's the reason why it comes in a pairs.Absolutely, I am keeping it. 8^)

purchased two of these products. Tested them on two different AR platforms, one a 9mm AR pistol and the other a standard 5.56 rifle. BOTH of these had the QD Lock Levers fail at about 15 rounds. The latches/levers do not stay closed when you tighten them. Save your money and look elsewhere.
