Collector's Edition

Have most Clayderman CDS and obviously like the style and quality of the music - piano with instrumental accompaniment. I just keep the volume low and let these play in the background, both at home and in the car. I believe the style is depreciatingly called elevator music, but it is really soothing and without voice does not interfere with casual conversation. This compilation of 60 recordings over three themes - Stage and Screen, Love Songs, and Classical is over three hours long has something for almost everyone. I choose to pair my own themes from my many disks but that should not detract from this fine compilation.

If you are looking for that warm familiar sound of Richard Clayderman from the 70s, then this is not for you. All the music has been re-recorded and re-arranged. The actual recording is good, but not like the original. If it wasn't for the picture on the cover I wouldn't know it was Richard Clayderman who played.

If you enjoy lovely background music while you're doing things around the house, this will soothe. NOT elevator music, absolutely more pleasing because of Clayderman's composing.

His music is so relaxing and beautifully played. I highly recommend if you love piano.

Beautiful selection of music. I have this CD playing most of the day while doing my housework. Well worth 5 stars..

Doesn't include his most famous ones, and overall very plain experience. I didn't even have patience to finish hearing them all and no interest in listening to them again.

This set provides excellent music to listen to and for background music. Very good value also.

I bought these for a gift and my friends love this collection.

A remix of the original which was disappointing too much background orchestra and this spoilt the beautiful clear piano on the original recordings when they were made. Good background music but do not recommend if you were a Richard Clayderman fan at the time. Just my humble opinion. But good value as it is a boxed set and well presented. Nice to play during dinner or with friends for a quiet evening in .

I don't know if he does anything original at all, my mother loves to listen to him, all her cassette tapes were streached and sounded awful! I got these on CD, sounds better, but mum don't believe me when I shout out the original artists! Anyhow, it is what it is

I was expecting for "the" Richard Clayderman pieces that I listen to on youtube. In particular, "Ballade Pour Adeline" on this CD was accompanied with other instruments. I'd have preferred the piano version on its own. Overall, it is good, just not the one I was expecting to listen to.

Great Collection from a man who seems to have been around forever. All his best versions from multiple genres.

Nice for background music when working. Melodious, very well played, finely balanced and orchestrated. Extremely popular French pianist. - I'm very glad I got the lovely box set. It's a great buy.
